I'd have to agree with smoking. I can be totally into a hot girl, but as soon as she lights up, I get sad in pants.

I could never be with a man that took longer to get 'ready' than me. IE ...plucks eyebrows, uses a lot of hair product (or dyes his hair) gets manicures and a clearcoat. YA know a "high maintenence" guy. ug!

Skinny neighborhoods? Was it something in the water?![]()

I'm just curious, because I'm relatively new around here, but why is it that anyone who gels their hair or knows how to dress is automatically gay? I happen to own a few designer suits and have some overpriced jeans from Express--the former because I found them on sale and the cut fits me better and the latter because I wear jeans at my office but find that your run of the mill jeans are too casual for me to really get away with. Am I suddenly gay?
/rant
At any rate, I have a few. Tattoos tend to scream "trashy" to me, though small ones or less than one and not in any garish colors can be nice. More than one, large tattoos, or obnoxious colors (or even run-of-the-mill tattoos, like the standard butterfly) are huge turnoffs for me. Too many piercings are in the same category.
I also agree that having standards about dress is a major turnoff for me. While I wear Express jeans to work or Ralph Lauren suits occasionally, when I'm not working or meeting with business people, I'm wearing old worn jeans, Sambas, and a beer-related tshirt. It's more comfortable. If a girl's gonna judge me for that, I don't have time for her.
That said, I don't really have much place in this thread either, as I'm engaged.

So you're saying that because I'm confident in the way I look and because I have standards I'm a snob?

I don't know about the manicures and eyebrow-plucking, but I like when a guy takes care of himself, and if he takes longer than me to get ready that just means he's gonna look good and I'm gonna be able to show him off in public![]()
....so you date bisexual men. That's cool, I guess.
That way I can date two at once and they won't really mind because they'll be doing each other too. Masturbation inducing mental picture.

Fixed.
I, nor any of the bisexual guys I kick it with would have anything to do with Adica who automatically stereotypes those who care about thier image as "high maintenence." If you keep yourself kempt, it doesn't take long to get ready for a night on the town.
ILoveLamp... you imply that bisexual men having sex is bad mental image, yet your screen name is a double entendre? That's shallow.

What is the one shallow thing that you would reject a potential partner for? Just something little that really shouldn't matter but for some reason you can't help looking for. For me, its the way a guy dresses...if he doesn't have good style it's really hard for me to be attracted to him, even if he's great in every other way. What are yours?

Why don't you show him how? I think a lot of guys that are like that might actually be receptive if you asked.

Smokers never really bothered me, maybe because I grew up in a house where both parents smoked and now I'm just used to it.
