If your 650e will run at 133 MHz FSB, then you have no issue with the Soyo. But, mine did not.:( The Soyo board jumps from 126 to 133; while the Abit board, with Softmenu III, gave me the full range! :D At the time I bought the Soyo board it was about $45 cheaper than the BE6-r2. Now I can get the BE6-r2, with ATA100 and Raid for $123.00. It is a solid board with excellent performance as most BX based boards are.

Oh, my 650e is a a FC-PGA on an Iwill Slotket II. You would need a different version of the Gorb to work with a SECC-2 Slot 1, but they do have them.

They are having a Computer Show in Dallas, TX this Sat. and I'm trying to decide what to buy. Might upgrade my Cellie 300a and 366 with Cu or Cu128. Hope to find a cheap LX board also.

BTW: Getting closer! :D

WoooHooo! I just checked the stats, I officially passed Networkman by 2 wu's. Hehehehehe, I finally paid him back for passing me a couple of months ago. :D

Where did all of my lovely production go? :(:disgust::Q:|:frown::confused:

I lost a couple of machines last week, but they were only running SETI about 4-6 hours a day, anyway, so that can't have cut my production in half, especially with all these 11+ Angle Ranges we've been getting.. :(

One thing I've noticed, is that most TA members are only doing 1-3 WU's a day. :(

Ahh.. if only I could assimilate the PCs at my workplace...

Oh well, it was enjoyable seeing BadThad behind me for a while, so I guess I'll just learn to enjoy the change of scenery. :confused:

In the mean time, I can look forward to Garoz getting a change of scenery too! :D

networkman - Whens the next reserve duty coming? ;)

I just replaced my 700E@868 with a 750E@930. Was hoping for 997MHz, but dang it, I have rotten luck with intel cpu's. Out of about 10 intel systems I've built recently, only one 700E would do 133 fsb. :( At least the 62MHz should help the seti times a bit. :)

Doesn't look like any reserve duty will come until about March or April.. I'm hoping April, as I'll be on vacation in March for at least one week, possibly two.

Many people only have SETI on 1 machine ,add to that their not on 24/7 & you begin to see why.
My little brother (THE TERMINATOR) was until recently running SETI on just his Pentium 166MMX (mostly 24/7! ,I wonder where he got that idea from?;) ).I upgraded his machine recently with a K6-2 cpu.I also handed over the part time Athlon 700 (fathers PC)to him too ,so expect to see his output climb :)

I'm now fetching/flushing my work SETIQ manually. I flush on a floppy and fetch at home and burn a CD-RW. So, my output will not be regular... ;)

Well, here's the deal...

My boss is going to let me "borrow" some of the machines at work to do WUs for me thru the Dec 31st in order to hit my goal of 7,000! :D After, 7K is reached, I'll switch most of my machines over to do SETI for the work user(to pay back what I "borrowed".). Once that's complete, I'll be switching about 90% of my fleet over to RC5 for about 4 to 6 weeks due to an earlier committment that I'd made.

So there's the deal - I should make my goal of 7K my the end of the year, AND I'll help out our TA-RC5 friends for a bit as well. :)

Polo, man I wish it was :) But sadly :( it was only a few machines that I had set up with setidriver. (20 WU cache)

My daily output will be around the 25-30 range.

Assimilator1, I had one of the Vantec 5030 dual-fan Slot1 heatsinks you can see at the bottom of this page at Plycon. Plycon has run some Team Anandtech ads, so if it's feasible you might buy from them... regardless, it was a satisfactory unit for a good price, and not too bulky. networkman has it now.

Yes, the Vantec unit is quite nice because of the design of the aluminum fins in the heatsik..the unit really seems to cool the chip well.. allowing me to overclock that same 450 to 550.

Any of you guys running a Geforce2 GTS DDR? Man, I put one in my main PC last night and WOW! Compared to my old GeForce SDR:

Quake3 1152x864 resolution (wacky setting, i know), 16 bit color, P3-750@930:

demo001: old=72 fps, new=106 fps
demo002: old=74 fps, new=108 fps

Just amazing! Maybe I can get a few more frags now! Do any of you play Q3 online? I go by the name Post Mortem, hope to frag you on the net. Just discovered I have some Q3 stats, take a peek:
