Do you intend to keep looking at it or not?

If not, apologize to her and tell her you won't do it anymore.

If so, sit down and talk with her about what her expectations are and why, and tell her your intentions so she can make a choice about whether she's willing to adapt or not.

Ok, here's the update. We've talked it over and things are on their way back to being normal. The end result is I'm not going to look at porn anymore.

As far as all the details I left out of my original post that have been brought up:

1) Our sex life is great.
2) It was just normal straight porn
3) A large part of the problem was that she'd told me before that it was something that was against her morals and I said that I wouldn't do it while we were together.
4) As to why she was looking at my temp files: She almost caught me the other night and after I saw how much the suspiscion of it upset her I deleted all the porn I had stored on my computer. When I went to show her that I'd deleted it I realized I'd forgotten, like an idiot, to clear out the cache and all those pictures turned up in the search. She looked at the dates and realized that some of it was stuff I'd looked at while we were together. That was the big problem. So she wasn't snooping for it that much. I basically showed it to her.

Anyway, that's the update. Hopefully that's the last one of these I'll ever have to post.

Since she won't let you watch porn
ask her if you can film her while having sex. You can watch that instead.

e)necro (dead corpses naked)

this list is traumatizing...

forgot to add, f)anime (this is anandtech, ccmon, someone has to have anime pr0n)

Hentai > *.

And deflect the situation by bringing up the fact that she's snooping around on your PC. Preemptive breakup.

Well, technically speaking.....

nothing in the bible against sex before marriage...as far as I know

but wacking off on porn is "committing adultery in your heart" since your "lusting" over women in your mind and adultery is against one of the ten commandments....

I fail to believe the internet existed when the Bible was written.

Lets not drag religion into this, please.

However, ask her why she feels porn is so immoral. Bet she won't be able to give you any educated or reasonable answer.

And dude, I'm sorry, but looking through someone else's Temp folder can ONLY be snooping.

First off... there's definitely stuff in there about sex before marriage. And second, if you're going to draw the conclusions between the "adultery in your heart" to masturbating with porn, then you can damn sure draw the conclusions required to say sex before marriage is sinful.

What does the internet have to do with anything?

no matter what way your looking at it, when your looking at porn, no matter from what source is, your still lusting over it in your mind

And as for bringing up religion, it was to backup my point.

It may very well be that religion has nothing to do with where she founded her morals.

Well, not according to one of my friends who has studied the bible carefully...

Show me, and I'll show him. Sound good?

Edit: so your saying that since you lust over someone in your mind it's the same thing as making love to someone whom you love?

Fine. I fail to believe porn existed when the bible was written.

My point being, bringing the bible into any modern topical debate which would otherwise uninclude it is pointless.

Like I mentioned in my previous post, it was nothing more then to backup my point.

That's it.

the tmp files deal is definitely sketchy. its like she's keeping an eye on you. stalking tendancies.

if she can't handle you looking at porn, then she's worse off in terms of how secure she is with you. in which case y ouguys aren't meant to be together. dump her before she realizes this and dumps you.

Not to anyone in particular but - I wonder how many people who say "just dump her" currently have girlfriends ... you guys say it as if the person means nothing to them. That there has been no history. Everyone has faults and couples at any stage fight through them. Even marriage is all about compromise - it's not just a cliche. I swear I will never post a YAGT here for some people's half-wit opinions. It means nothing if you don't know the whole story so don't act like you do and come to a decisive conclusion like it. Yeah, I guess I'm just a little annoyed.

All guys do it. They know it. Why be offended by it ?

I don't do it and I bet most guys don't do it. Do you realize how perverted that is?

Its impossible not to... At college porn is equivalent to Yu-Gi-Oh cards for 8 year olds... You trade it, you watch the movies, hell you collect it... Any guy on here who says theyve NEVER seen pictures/watched videos is bullshitting ya...

Well I have a friend that I would be pretty dam confident on saying he has not seen any porn. Devote Catholic friend of mine. No drinking before he was 18 (legal age in UK) and he will stay a virgin until his wedding night. Probably only one of two or maybe 3 friends of mine that I would believe in not seeing porn.

I'm glad my gf is cool with porn.

I would not be bothered if my gf has porn on her computer. Not even if she had loads and loads of it. I'm confident enough in my relationship and us to not let that thing bother me. Hey man it is only porn! And if it became too much well the relationship wasn't that good in the first place!

I don't know any girls that know theres a temp folder in the first place.

Pretty good point bR!

Well to be fair rh71 people here are just giving their opinions on what info has been given to us. We don't know anything else so the advice/ opinions given are only based on what we hve.

Are you guys in a long distance relationship or do you guys see each other say 3/4x a week? If you guys see each other often then the need for porn imo is less if you guys have sex often. I do find it a bit strange that your sex life is great and she is bothered by it. Is it often enough for you? Most likely not if your like any of my mates or any other guy!

But glad it is okay for you guys now. Lying to her is not good man!

Uhhhh.....WHAT?! First off, porn is more than just pictures (which obviously didn't exist), it's literature, too - which DID.

Uhhh...there is PLENTY of evidence of quite 'pornographic' literature from dating WAY before the bible was written. Hell, the sex industry was alive and well during the biblical times, with *most* civilizations having almost all aspects of it legal. (Exactly what occupation did you THINK a 'harlot' had?)

Just what I was thinking. Sounds more like insecurity than immorality.
