I personally think it's nobody's business if this guy/gal is romping around with someone else... PROVIDED your not an outspoken advocate of family values and right-wing morals! Rated 100% by the Christian Coalition: a pro-family voting record. (Dec 2003)

SO here is a little on the fvcktard who slept with a married subordinate staffer... that's real family values!

# Voted YES on defining unborn child as eligible for SCHIP. (Mar 2008)
# Voted YES on prohibiting minors crossing state lines for abortion. (Mar 2008)
# Voted YES on barring HHS grants to organizations that perform abortions. (Oct 2007)
# Voted NO on expanding research to more embryonic stem cell lines. (Apr 2007)
# Voted YES on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions. (Jul 2006)
# Voted NO on $100M to reduce teen pregnancy by education & contraceptives. (Mar 2005)
# Voted YES on criminal penalty for harming unborn fetus during other crime. (Mar 2004)
# Voted YES on banning partial birth abortions except for maternal life. (Mar 2003)
# Voted YES on recommending Constitutional ban on flag desecration. (Jun 2006)
# Voted YES on constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. (Jun 2006)
# Voted NO on adding sexual orientation to definition of hate crimes. (Jun 2002)
# Voted YES on loosening restrictions on cell phone wiretapping. (Oct 2001)
# Voted YES on ending the set-aside of 10% of highway fun
# Voted with Republican Party 91.7% of 314 votes. (Sep 2007)
# Voted YES on confirming Samuel Alito as Supreme Court Justice. (Jan 2006)
# Voted YES on confirming John Roberts for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. (Sep 2005)
# Rated 0% by the AU, indicating opposition to church-state separation. (Dec 2006)

This guy is a first class asshole and should be removed from representing anyone in this country.

If we booted everyone out of politics who was a hypocrite there would soon be no politicians left.

Now that I think about it that sounds like a good plan to me

Not really, but I guess its easier to just say that than do any real research into it.

What is it with all of the puritanical lefties latley? I don't see any legislation mentioned that Mr Ensign signed which would criminalize or ban adultery--therefore your rant is merely epic fail. Well done. Perhaps your kind should stick to burning witches.

The hypocrisy is offensive as these liars run against actually morally liberals on a bed of lies.

Imagine a politician who ran on policies opposing racism only to find he was a closet racist insulting minorities with vicious racial slurs in private.

It makes the adultery a lot worse, a larger violation of the public trust, when they have run explicitly on moral issues they violate.

If you wanna get your panties in a bunch just google for stories about NC Gov. Mike Easely (Dem). He just left office and since then records have become available (he illegally or unethically kept secret), the FBI is investigating him for all sorts of crap. Check out stories about his wife's job (since fired), it's a big scandel in this state (NC) but somehow never makes the national news.

Il have to agree with Craig here. Adultry for this type of politician should come with a hefty fine for basically sacrificing public trust. *coughclintoncough*.

He was elected by the people of Nevada - let them decide what to do with him.

So this guy can't have an affair because you don't like his politics/voting record?

If I like his voting I don't give a damn who he screws, that's his and his wife's problem. I'd much rather a politician be having an affair than riping off taxpayers and be involved in fraud etc. (like Easley looks to be guilty of)

BTW: Unlike interstate transportaion for prostitution (or whatever the legal term is), having an affair with a married co-worker isn't a federal felony. That's why Spitzer is out of office - he committed felonies while in office.

Otherwise, I never heard of the guy.

If you want to get your panties in a bunch about Mike Easley, start your own thread instead of posting in one it has nothing to do with.

If someone had said anything that could be answered with a 'ya but this other guy' post, fine, but it doesn't look like they did.

Newt Gingrich << John Edwards.

You are gonna lose if you try to go after the democrats on this - there are bad examples, take Clinton and JFK and LBJ (don't try to visualize it, I cannot be held liable for the injury), but the Republicans get them in number, degree, and hypocrisy. Not to mention the right-wing televagelists, but that's another matter.

The funny thing is, if Republicans behaved like angels, there would still be legitimate opposition to some of their socially conservative, restrictive 'forcing their values on others' positions - the hypocrisy is just an added level of problem with them that they are both sexually intolerant demagogues *and* hypocrits, in many cases.

Did he cheat with the wife of one of his staff, or is that also a strictly democrat thing.

There no hypocrisy in his positions. Its not like he was advocating making adultery illegal. Additionally, its not much of an affair either for him since he was separated at the time.

Lost on Fern, the difference between:

His adultery is worse because I disagree on mlitary spending, gun policy, UHC; and

His adultery is worse because he ran on a platform of self-righteous family values as something that made him the guy to vote for over his opponent.

You're missing the point, Fern.
