Another mistake or flub rationalization by buckshot. They certainly seem to be piling up from this nominee. Seems a bit clumsy to be president.
The opposite is complete nonsense, I'll go with a mistake and you can go with nonsense.

This is obvious to any sane person. Why would he say "Afghan" if he was trying to say he was born in Afghanistan? How could that have happened? Obviously he misread the teleprompter where a couple words later the word "Afghan" was used. This is not a mystery.

Trump hate has caused people to go insane.

LOL good luck with that. Most of the truly wealthy's assets are already firmly outside of US jurisdiction. It's easier to move money and holdings to different tax jurisdictions than at any time in history, as well. They'll always be a bag full of accounting tricks and loopholes written into the world's various tax codes to enable capital to flow to the least aggressively taxed economies. Trying to explain this to somebody with a folksy understanding of how capital works is pretty much an exercise in futility, however.

Despite defeatist attitudes what I offered is what needs to be done if middle America is to maintain a share of the income created by Capitalism. If not, we'll achieve the capitalist ideal of third world distribution. That's where 35 years of Reaganomics have been leading us.

If there's some other way perhaps you can explain it.

Its ignorance and pandering to a low intelligence base. Rational voters are peeling off from Trump in droves. We've seen it in this very forum and in the polls.

overall, things are going quite well for America compared to a decade ago. the economy has recovered, no major wars with American soldiers dying or having the rest of their lives destroyed due to war, the advancement of green energy and technology, gay marriage is legal, no major organized terrorist attacks on our soil, just lone nut jobs, marijuana legalization is spreading nationwide, the list goes on.

there is only one logical reason why anyone would say that America is going down the drain and that is if they are a Republican. not only can they not admit that Obama has been a great President but their political party has self destructed.

No, it is a flub from a candidate who made other flubs during that speech. Only insanity could lead people to think he was "signalling" anybody. See?

So you're saying people who think he was signalling are not legally responsible for their actions?

See what this is like?

The first month in Iraq or Afghanistan with no American casualties was 2014. Just because the news stopped reporting doesn't mean it actually stopped.

In late 2015, Egypt was using weapons we sold them to kill civilians. They were Mexican so I suppose it doesn't count.

NATO killed between 40 and 70 civilians in Libya, in a regime change that we supported and encouraged. Also, the European refugee situation started with Libya. Gaddafi of "we came, we saw, he died" fame warned France's news apparatus so of course no plans were made to deal with the problem.

Obama has ordered drone strikes on citizens without trials and is the first Nobel Peace prize recipient to bomb another Nobel Peace prize recipient. The US as part of the coalition in Yemen was involved in an airstrike on another MSF facility - the CIA and White House declined to comment.

Apparently no one we actually care about died in the US supported coup in Honduras to overthrow a democratically elected leader but it's still bad optics and the place is basically a hell hole.

If you ignore all of that, and more that I can't recall off the top of my head what remains of the US foreign policy isn't entirely awful. Does that warrant a golf clap?

Not looking for equality. Looking for less inequality. The ideal wealth distribution is not CEO Bob making 72 Trillion a year and the rest of us living on $2 a day.

That's way beyond exaggeration. Very few people really have what it takes to be a good CEO and very few ever will be but those that are CEO's didn't get there by complaining with their hands out and punching a card every day.

Companies only exist to make investors money. Employees are an asset to make that happen just like silverware are part of starting a new restaurant. Everyone is free to start their own business, but I see a lot of complainers that just clock in, go home, rinse and repeat.
I don't complain about my pay, I certainly wouldn't want my boss, the guy that started, invested and took risks, to just up and drop his pay and hand it to me just because I clock in everyday. that's BS. He deserves his return, I don't. If I want to attempt a return on an investment...I would invest.

You must not have heard that corporations are people, my friend. And people have far more responsibilities than just making money.

Heh. Our involvement in Afghanistan & Yemen are both legacies of the Bush years. Deal with it.

Honduras? It was a done deal among the Hondurans. Yeh, we could have gone all huffy & suspended aid- a wonderful thing to do for people who live in a shithole, huh?

Our relationship with Iran is a new departure, however, one that greatly reduces chances of nuclear proliferation in the region. There's the long overdue recognition of Cuba. There's Obama's more realistic evaluation of America's lying little friend, Bibi Netanyahu.

It's not like the international disaster of Neocon foreign policy can be swept away with a wave of the hand, either.

I guess the Cold War period was worse, I just hope this spills over and dosen't result in a far worse outlook for this country.

The cold war has nothing on this. We are less than 20 years away from full fledged real life Idiocracy. We already have at least 10% of the population who spend more brain cells on transgenders in bathrooms than they will ever spend on banker bailouts, currency destruction, wars for opium, wars for oil, government gun running for the cartels, medical monopolies, failed drug wars, failed wars on poverty, welfare sluts and their subsidized spawn, importation of illegals to fill leftist voter rolls, Jesus Christ you name it and people will ignore it. People were not nearly this stupefied during the cold war. It is like a massive cloud of black magic has been laid over the entire country, or like the sci-fi mind control beam from that V series remake. People's minds are just gone and they are incapable of seeing the degree of the peril. The only response analysis like this will get is "cool story bro". Because being frickin stupefied is cool.

How the mighty have fallen- John McCain forced to pander to the people who booed him at his concession speech in 2008 to hopefully run for re-election. If Kelli Ward can beat him in the primary Arizona might have a Democratic senator. She's a flip-out-

The 9/11 truther and guy who thought the fed was going to conspire to shut down GDPnow because of inconvenient economic information thinks that people are incapable of seeing obvious things.

Interesting.

So there are still some Tea Party remnants out there. For Repubs it's old hack loser or nutcase. So I guess it's a normal primary. :)
