What about Mark Wahlberg then, he loves the cops, and he slams those who criticize them...he's extremely influential with all age groups...

ah ... another person never heard of.

... goes and looks him up ...
Walhberg has a history of racially motivated attacks starting from when he was a teenager.
awkward.

You have quite the list of openly racist "celebrities" going here Getty.

This thread gets more and more pathetic. Old folks always fail when desperately searching for hip celebs that support their positions that they think appeal to youth. They inevitably miss by a decade or more in age and miss the point that young people don't give a shit what celebs think. Hell, even Boomers are too young to be reached by celeb appeals. That era is long gone.

And I think it's wrong for the govt (which includes the police) to murder law-abiding citizens. Or to unlawfully break into their homes, or to otherwise deprive them of their Constitutional rights.
Maybe, if we need to actually give a shit about what Selleck and Boomer have to say, we should ask them why they're big govt-loving bootlicking cowards who hate the Constitution of the United States.
That's the conversation we should having with that crowd. Why they're so eager to trade away our freedoms for their safety.
Exactly....

I think it's because 9/11 changed the way how we feel about safety and Boomer especially lost a lot of cop friends on 9/11, he feels people, especially the minority community doesn't appreciate the "sacrifices". That's why he went off on Kaepernick.

oh, so your arguing they are racist scum?

That is a very serious accusation your leveling there. Before we proceed with cancelling the careers, social standing, and lives of two people on the basis of a random forum poster, what evidence do you have?

or is this simply a matter of two people who have already self cancelled their careers, social standing, and life? and as such don't matter anyway.
I don't know if they are, but Boomer wants people to respect cops' sacrifice and he did not like Kaepernick's statements.

I'm not old, I'm a millennial. But I grew up watching Selleck, Esiason and Wahlberg in their entertainment.

If they don't know Wahlberg, that's a shame, he is in a lot of movies and he does comic skits with Kevin Hart, etc.
He sure is in a lot of movies, I can't argue that. Most of them aren't very good, he occasionally lucks into a decent project. I don't think my kids are missing out by not knowing who he is.

What's weird about these GettyRoad and PumpkinCake threads is that I'm not even mad at GR or PC, they're obviously trolls that are obviously trolling.

It's everyone else who by all appearances is either responding to them in earnest like this is actually actual discussion or by flying off the handle and calling them names and such.

There really isn't enough meat on the bones of the original story for yet another "cops fuck up how does this keep happening" thread so just move on.

I'm pretty sure neither of my kids have any idea who those people are, and they're between 20-30.
Esiason is one of the big quarterbacks of the 80s, and he currently is on CBS NFL coverage and he has a radio show on WFAN where he slams Black Lives Matter, etc.
Boomer feels young people, especially young black people and Latinos have no appreciation for what cops did on 9/11, running those towers to save complete strangers and painting all cops with a broad brush.

I know these cops fucked up, the question is how can you do that to persuade Selleck, Bill Bratton, Boomer, etc.

The OP is an unmitigated tool for:
A) thinking that some talking head washed up sports racist has something meaningful to say, along with some random actors.
B)That we would actually give a crap about A.

You should because he molds and influences the NYPD, a lot of cops listen to him before going to work....
He's not David Duke-level racist....he just wants people to appreciate what cops do, in his opinion.
Why does he have a radio platform if he is not meaningful?
