The guy shot in the CHAZ certainly wasn’t made of straw. He would thank you for your concern if he wasn’t dead.
And no one actually believes that you're genuinely concerned about him except insofar as you can use his death for political propaganda.

Was there ever a shooting in that area prior to the protests?
Was the fellow who got shot a resident of the area? What about the shooter? Did he he live there?
Clearly they have all the same problems as the rest of our society. Pretending it's some sort of Utopian dream land is absurd.

Local news coming up shortly. Mayor said she was going to do something last evening. We will see if there has been any action.

We don't know because the autonomous folks aren't talking to the coppers.

Actually, the "council" says they aren't listening to anything the mayor has to say, and she needs to resign. Keep in mind, this is a quite liberal city administration. Not a good negotiating tactic.

I'm not pretending it was a dream land. Law enforcement overstepped their bounds and abused protesters for days. It was the husk left from those protest, after police stopped the abuse and moved out.

Was it absurd? Sure but what it wasn't was an ANTIFA laden hell hole? Fox was the one with wall to wall fake coverage. Admit it it, it should have been mostly a local story. FOX ran out of AOC stories and needed something to get their viewers frothed up over.

Looks like the beginning of the end. Barriers being removed from CHOP entrance areas. I think the city is timing it about right. Interviews with the "leaders" of which their is virtually none, revealed that they really had no plan and for the most part very few people were showing up anymore anyway. We will see how this plays out.

You and many others seem overly interested in this story.
It's a bit fascinating as an experiment, and the legal ramifications of the aftermath are going to be interesting because I have no idea how they will play out.
I was also wrong about the ending, I expected it would be violent, but it looks like it's going to end in a whimper. That's a good thing, no one gets hurt.

I'm assuming the lawsuits from the residents will kicking off in the next few days.
Quite a lot of graffiti and damages to clean up, can’t blame residents and business owners not wanting to live in an occupied zone.

You and many others seem overly interested in this story.
You and many others seem overly concerned that some might take interest in a failed social experiment.

Another day, another shooting in the area. One dead and one wounded. Second fatal shooting.

Who was behind the shooting and what motivated it? Was it linked to the protest?

No one seem to fret as much as you. You are the king of concern.

Mayor issued emergency order to clear out CHOP last night. All local affiliates have live feeds. Area has been completely cleared except for an area north of Cal Anderson park where there is an encampment of several tents. This area is surrounded, and the last area to be completely cleared out. Party is over.

Pretty much the way it went. I'm sure there's a bunch of people disappointed in the lack of cracked heads. There will be a number of lawsuits.
