I still think about Larson just about every time I pass a pasture with cows in it.

Especially if the cows are wearing horn-rimmed glasses! lol

Yup looking forward to it too. Too many of the people I loved growing up turned out to be raging douche bags... I'm looking at you , Spacey...

I just can't take much more.

The good thing for me is I've just always assumed all celebrities are assholes, so it's easy for me to separate the art from the artist. I used to always enjoy Dilbert, but don't think I've even read one since I was sent home at the beginning of COVID.

If either of them turned out to be Dilbert guy style assholes that would be so sad.

Apparently Bill Watterson is coming out with some new significant work later this year and I’m looking forward to it as Calvin and Hobbes is my all time favorite comic strip, followed closely by Larson’s Far Side.

Man, I'd be devastated if Watterson turns out to be a d-bag.

I'm not as familiar with Gary Larson as a person, though I do love the Far Side. But Bill Watterson seems like an absolute fine human being from the few interviews he's done that I've read. I mean, he felt like he did all he could with Calvin and Hobbes, and quit rather than continue something he felt didn't need continuing. He's also famously refused nearly all commercialization of Calvin and Hobbes which is why you see nearly zero official products with the characters.

Reading the comics as a young teen, I enjoyed many of the antics of Calvin, his alter ego Spaceman Spif, and of course Hobbes. But re-reading them as an adult with kids brings a whole new light and a whole new enjoyment to the comics.

Whites can make a start by rejecting racists such as Scott Adams, Trump and DeSantis.

Personally, I think the race pendulum has swung too far to the Right.

I guess this is happening in many regions, Ukraine, the West Bank, China ... and now it's occurring once more in the U.S.

My best single memory from being younger was an episode of Darkwing Duck. They had these cows that were from space... and one introduces itself as being from the Planet Larson on the Far Side of the Galaxy. And I got it!!! I understood!
