I think part of the problem is the exchange rate from US to Canadian dollars has dropped and increased production costs.

I'm sad its over but the show hasn't been captivating in a long time. I agree though, pushing BSG to October was a big mistake, many of my friends have started to watch the SciFi channel only due to BSG and probably stopped for the time being.

So sad, I think season 10 has been the best in a couple years. I really enjoyed the start to this season and was hopping for some more. I just hope they can tie up all the loose ends and end it correctly.

It is time, but I do like Atlantis a lot more.

But both of those shows can't hold a candle to Battlestar Galactica.

I hate to say it, but it's about time it ended... IMHO, the show started going down in the eigth season with the decreased presence of Richard D. Anderson. And I never thought Ben Browder was a good replacement.

edit: I dunno what to think about Atlantis getting renewed. SG1 still seems like the better show over Atlantis.

I agree. Please move BSG to an earlier time slot too - 10pm is too late for us early risers.

BSG is too edgy for anything in prime-time, prudes would complain.

I disagree, I think it could be as successful as 24.

I quit watching it because they kept on moving the time slot around. 🙁

I think they finish the season and then make a movie 🙂

Cheers,
Aquaman

A. 10pm is still prime time
B. SciFi is a cable channel
C. Fox is now showing uncensored episodes of South Park (although it is only very late at night that they do, it is still a sign that "edgier" TV is becoming more accepted)
D. Prudes don't watch SciFi, only nerds do

There's something inherently wrong with the people running the SCI-FI network..

For one, they are showing ECW - WHAT IN THE WORLD? What is wresting doing in a Sci-Fi channel?

Plus wasting all these $$$ on crap sci-fi-b-rated movies like Prehistoric Bears?? WTF?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Sure, it hasn't been as good the last few years but it's still entertaining! I really wish they'd keep the show on for at least a few more years.

This sucks so much ass. I feel like flipping out and stabbing mad peeps.

SG-1 is one of the few programmes I actually look forward to watching these days. 🙁

well, Sci-Fi friday will be remembered for it's 2 years of greatness. 3 hours of shows. I was bummed when that was ended by pushing BSG to October, and am really bummed now.

waaaaaaaa 🙁

the sci-fi TV genre is dying 🙁

The problem is that the TV Drama is taking on a soft Sci-if spin. Lost, Invasion, and Surface.

but those suck 🙁 good sci-fi keeps getting cancelled with no equals replacing them

Meh... I haven't been thrilled with it for the most part for a while. I do like Atlantis though and am glad it's hanging around.

This sucks.

I hope the SG! Executive PRoducer is true to his word and brings SG1 back in some form or other.
