The claim was they'd be extinct. That is clearly wrong.
This is beyond you, fly you fool.

Slowmind, you don't melt millions of years of ice in a decade. And you don't make a polar bears extinct in 15 years. The wheels are in motion for both of those to happen however. It's not like we don't know what the Earth was like when CO2 goes above 400ppm.. in the Pliocene the sea was 30 meters higher and it was a hot and humid world under similar levels to today.

Remember, the northern polar ice cap could completely disappear during summer months in five to seven years. Al Gore, 2006
Manbearpig is real.
Polar bears extinct by 2060! (2002)
Oh, wait... their population is climbing.
As I said, we can influence the climate and should take care, that doesn't mean the left isn't blowing this way out of proportion and using it as a scare tactic for votes. Because that's exactly what they're doing.
Gifs that end too soon.

From your linked "article"
"So when you hear, “Save the polar bears, their future is grim” next week, remember that polar bears are thriving right now because those future predictions were flawed: summer sea ice is not critical habitat for polar bea"
So even if the article is right ...... you are still wrong.
Best case of your argument : You are wrong.
Worst case of your argument : You are wrong.
I guess there is a reason you shouldnt represent yourself in court!
Thanks for the good laugh, Hayabusa. Al Gore is a talking tree!
Unfortunately the politicization of climate change is a result of the fact that it will take political action to help stop (or at least slow) man's abuse of our environment. What that entails is hard for everyone to agree on.
I think we do need to reign in the use of fossil fuels for one and stop using "clean" coal altogether. Sadly Im too addicted to cow meat to give it up though.

I'll forgive you since you appear to be brain damaged or intentionally ignorant. Leftist climate change hypocrisy.
You guys are all the same on a smaller level. None of these measure add up to a hill of beans, as long as our population continues to explode, we're going to have problems. That is the root cause, banning drinking straws (LOL) and such are little more than feel good measures.
Slows' currently holding his beer.I award this post many wins, because it may be the first (and only?) time in AT history that FDC is not the most insane person participating in a thread.
Than you should tell the fear mongering leftist to stop claiming they'll be extinct in the very near future.
If I told you there was a firee in a building, would you stamp your feet, scream at us that there is no such thing as a "firee" and then rush head long into said building? Besides the obvious flames and smoke billowing out the windows?
Your focus is on something ancillary and completely beside the point. Which is par the course for political arguments attempting to distract us away from the face of science. Yes, there are some ignorant "Leftists" who proclaim stupid things. And no we don't know everything. But the things WE DO KNOW are fairly concrete and not something you have attempted to dispute.
The exact timing and scale of some of the side effects are probably not 100% known or quantifiable. But the melting ice, the rising sea, and the warmer temperatures are quite clear. If nothing else, runaway CO2 would melt all ice on the planet. Everything not 216 feet above sea level would have a... problem. And if you think that's not problematic, please take a look.
you are such a stupid cvnt.Remember when the left said polar bears would be extinct soon, but their population has exploded? Remember when Al Gore said in "An Inconvenient Truth" (2006) that polar ice could be gone in five years (still there) causing catastrophic sea level rise, and then went on to buy ocean front property? I am not saying man doesn't influence the climate and that we shouldn't care, we obviously can have an impact on the earth and environment we live, but as the left tends to do, most of their predictions are melodrama and scare tactics. Youtube is littered with climate change predictions of leftist scientists and politicians over the last four or five decades that have largely proven to be untrue.
Yeah his BA in PolySci isn't a real science degree. He doesn't do science, at all.
I don't know. When I look at the way Slowly reasons I see the influence of 360 degrees.Yeah his BA in PolySci isn't a real science degree.
