It was a joke. Lighten up. The point is that he doesn't have a great command of the English language. He'll be eaten alive in a debate with all of his cliche's by candidates with law degrees.

I was mainly joking too but I've never understood the proper time to use those smilys or whatever.

<<<huge arnold fan probably biased but he will win by a landside and totaly destory those con-artist lawyers. Charater shines though on the man IMO.

I can't think of anything he's done that makes me believe he'd make a bad gubanhathoriahl candidate. Can't think of anything that makes him especially qualified either.

The steriod issue will pop-up but I doubt it'll have much traction.

Either way Cali's next governor has some pretty big challenges ahead of him. Plus I'm sure you guys will delight in having the spotlight for many years. Hurray for Hollywood!

Willy should run for govenor.. and why can't Jerry run again... dig up Unruh and we'd have a love in ....
Arnold's daddy was a nazi... but he married the President's niece...

The tabloids will be pumping in full force for this run. Add to that the most powerful democrats in the country. He's toast
I don't really understand this. Since he's already a celeb, wouldn't all the dirt on him already be out? And "the most powerful democrats" aren't exactly that powerful. He'll probably win by his celebrity alone. The turnout for all the other candidates will probably be really low except for Davis.

>> Arnold can barely speak audible english. He has no experience in politics.
I find this funny because I can barely understand our politicians who speak English as their primary language, waaay too much rhetoric and nonsense. As for experience, doesn't the current administration have lots of experience? How are things in CA now? One thing that I really hate are professional politicians.

Anyways, Arnold can do a good job protecting himself from the media. He's acknowledged steroid use, smoking up, his womanizing. It's not like he was doing any of this in secret. He's been successfull in nearly all (if not all) ventures he has went into. I think that he could shake things up (the system needs to be shaken up!)

Hehe, does anyone remember which movie had something about some Amedment 38 or something like that allowed a "President Schwarzenegger"? It might have been Last Action Hero... oh man, hope the press doesn't dig that up, he's worked hard at destroying every piece of evidence that he was in that movie ;)

In < 2 months, everything he has ever done is going to be in the press, tv adds, tabloids etc.

The california democrats arent that powerful? huh? Sure Davis is an idiot, but Loretta Sanchez might be their backup plan and she can get minority and women voters if things are looking bad (she wins as a rep. in a largely conservative orange county). Dems know what they are doing, and they will abandon a sinking ship (especially since no-one is really friends with davis anyway;)

Jesus, if Davis looses the new gov will be recalled, so don't get excited. Republicans should remember that any good circus has three rings.

As of this morning it is 511 Candidates on the California ballot. Except for 510 of them everyone will go straight to S. Heck a lot of them that signed up just say they did it will probably even vote for Arny.

Riordan even pulled his name out of the hat due to respect of Schwarzenegger. I'd vote for him before I would either Davis, Simon, Issa, Flynt or any of the other wannabee's

Hey, George W. Bush got into America's White House; how could this be any more of a laughing stock than that! Rush pails when compared to Bush!

Give Arnold a chance; it takes a radical risk to gain some of the biggest, best results sometimes.

And besides, it's a big state, it's Hollywood, and why not have one of today's biggest actors there! Actors=Politicians=Actors...they're all equivalent anyways.

99.9% of the time your writing is harder to comprehend than Arny speaking.

The man has done a great job of working on his speaking skills, kudos to whoever is coaching him.
Try speaking truth to people and you'll quickly find out how incomprehensible you are too. :D

I'm torn between Arnold and Mrs. Huffington. She is, of course, much more aware of what's wrong with the state and probably a great deal more intelligent. She wouldn't need to come up to speed and of course could practice politics rather than bravado. It's probably critical for you survival as a species to get men out of politics. They are psychologically unsuited for the game. Those who show a potential could of course be gelded. That would be OK.

i've seen her on bill maher's show a long time ago. can she bring in business? arnold seems to be running a pro-business platform. will californians choose prosperity over the environment or are they still willing to try and force companies to work in a high regulation market to do business in california. will they build some powerplants?

does huffington support legalization of drugs like bill? that could get enormous support and provide a huge tax base like cigarettes.

if enough people run for governor it might pay for the recall :D

What are you trying to say I have not been truthful about??? I will give you that there has been a handful of instances where people are a little confused with some of my posts but not a steady diet like when you write.

I agree that they both certainly seem to be the best candidates and poised to actually help the State of California. Arny should win and Arriana have a key role in his Administration.

Well he'll get my vote for sure. Anyone who thinks the man isn't intelligent should READ some of the things he's said and written. DO a google search, there's plenty of material for you to check out.

Arnold is Liberal in all the right ways; he understands the importance of Individual Civil Liberties, of Education (Funny, the "Liberal" Davis doesn't seem to give a rat's ass about Education, but then, perhaps it's a simple plan: If you're constituents are ignorant, uneducated idiots you'll always win just because you're incumbent...).

I would say he's Conservative in all the right ways, but it's more realistic to say he's Liberal in the CLASSICAL sense on economic issues (read: Libertarian; Conservatives have a nasty habit of painting themselves as Capitalism's defender only to st@b it in the back when it suits their political agenda) since he understands the FREE MARKET principles that made our nation's economy and social climate great and have kept us free. The man GREW UP under Socialism, he's seen first-hand how it doesn't work and the great suffering it visits upon people in the name of "the public good."

You know why Foreigners care more about America's political, economic and social climate than we do? Because they've LIVED in countries where humans are rightless creatures enslaved to the government or "the society." They've watched their families starved, their friends murdered and their governments usurping power and wealth so they can redistribute it all in the name of "fairness." We Americans have lived in relative freedom for so long that we've grown ignorant of the rest of the world's suffering and become too intellectually LAZY to bother understanding WHY we have the freedom and prosperity we do and WHY the rest of the world SUFFERS. That's why we have scores of people who protest against efforts to liberate people who have been tortured and brutalized by the very governments that SHOULD have been there to protect them. If you want to see people who DON'T CARE about the suffering of others, look no further than a protester against the war in Iraq.

I say Go Arnold, you've got my vote, and probably that of every other Californian who is sick and tired of a state government that is offensive to its people and the industry and business that made it one of the nation's greatest centers of commerce and freedom.
