Sure we wouldn't, because as I said in my post you quoted, there's something about Tebow that draws people in. Orton doesn't have it. It could be his religion, but it also good be his humbleness or the things he does outside of football or the way he wins the games. I don't really know, but for me it's not religion, it's his do whatever it takes and never, ever quit attitude that has me buying in.

Nobody said Orton was a 4th stringer at the beginning of the season who should be moved fullback. A few of us knew that it was bullshit all the hate Tebow was getting this pre-season/beginning of the season. Thats why we spoke up. Any other young QB drafted in the first round that did relatively decent his rookie year in his 5 starts, would have been given an opportunity the next season. The only reason he got a chance this year is because of fans like us screaming for him. And that's the only reason Denver is now in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

If Tebow and the Broncos lose out he'll be 4-7 as a starter and all this talk right now is worthless. The only way we could even begin to start talking about him as being legit is if the Broncos make it to the playoffs and win a playoff game because of Tebow's play, not in spite of. So keep your pants on until after the season is over and then we can objectively look at his merit. Right now he's still most likely a joke of a QB who's only accomplishments justify him only being in the game in the 4th quarter if the team is down. Although I'm not convinced a 2 QB system could ever work like it does with RBs, as even though his 3 quarters of utter failure somehow doesn't ruin him for the 4th quarter, it might be necessary for him to warm up and shake all that fail off just to find some degree of success in the 4th.

Did you watch the game? He looked good damn near the entire game. He got off to a little bit of a slow start, nothing bad. 2nd quarter he played great. 3rd quarter he played good, no mistakes. 4th quarter he was playing very good and the game wouldn't have gone into OT if it wasn't for McGahee coughing up the ball when the Broncos were damn near scoring position again. And obviously Tebow got it done in the 4th quarter.


If you are seriously going to say he only looked good for one quarter than I quite simply don't respect anything you have to say about football from here on out, cause that's just silly.

I'm not a Tebow fan, but his passing looked a lot better this game then past ones. He might have had better looks, but when he hit his wide outs he hit them in stride, the last play not withstanding. Looked a little bit more comfortable in the pocket as well and didn't try to force anything.

My only issue about rabid Tebow fans is the DEFENSE has been great when they win as well. It's a team, it's not all Tebow.

You said two months ago we can talk about him being legit when he wins a playoff game. Two months later, he has won 8 games, including a playoff game against the #1 defense in the league. Still can't talk about him being legit though. Now we have to way for your subjective analysis of him to be that he looks good. Seems to me that you don't ever want to discuss him being a legit QB, when I think it's pretty damn obviously he belongs playing QB in this league. He's not top 10, but he's a quality starter.
