The fanatically faithful Bronco fans will be ready to explain that the regular season is now history and the playoffs will begin with a clean slate. The "New and Improved" Tim Tebow has cleansed himself and the bad games are now out of his system.

This has been proven true.

I about crapped at the end of the game. I still can't "believe" it. I hate the Steelers so I'll take it though. Next week should be interesting. If he ever learns how to throw he could be a hell of a quarterback.

Just wanted to let you know that I wrote that as a snide remark since I am a "hater", but I have to admit I was impressed with Tebow's play today.

I was sure of that with the emoticon. It's all good.

Absolutely, if you can see past the media hyped up religious fervor they've generated around the guy, you can see he's a humble, good natured kid who the NFL could use a lot more of. You take a guy like this vs. the other prima donna's and he's a coaches dream when it comes worrying about what he'll do off the field.

That's what's so weird. It's the media that plays his religion, not him. He says the typical "praise jesus" line that 95% of players say at the beginning o interviews and that's it. The media has spun this out of control and people have taken the bait.

Here's the thing. A good amount of athletes thank God for a good game. He's just known to be spiritual. The media is what's brought up Tebowism, they're the ones to blame not him. Admittedly, I've seen quite a few of Tebow's interviews and he brings something few professional athletes can dream of doing. He speaks with class. If you take off the religion blinders that the media puts on you, I'm sure you'll see it. This is coming from a reformed Tebow hater BTW.

question... how many times can a team get lucky before you finally see it's consistent enough to not be just luck? You have to admit there's some talent in Denver.

You know what is funny listing to all you god haters Bronco fans justify Tebow and his religion but if this was any other Quarterback's team you be rabid haters. You guys tell everyone in these religion threads that it like believing in Santa Claws but give Tebow a pass lol.

I don't hate Tebow, but I hate what he drags with him onto the Tebow bandwagon, as evident in this thread, and the media, and ESPN, and ad nauseum. Catch my drift?

The other day at a restaurant, I was sitting next to a table where this kid just spewing "OMG TEBOW IS THE GREATEST QB EVARRR!!!!!", on and on, and on, and on, and even his friends wanted to choke him. Same as in this thread.

Alright, here it is:

I'm taking bets against anyone in this thread that wants to wager on Broncos against Patriots next week.

Put your "faith" where you mouth is.

YOU JUST DON'T GET IT!!!! Tim Tebow has done WAAAAAAAAAAY MORE than anyone gave him a chance to do. He just won a PLAYOFF GAME against the STEELERS. After being handed the rains with an AWFUL team at 1-4. Just getting to the playoffs with this shitty as team is saying something, but he just lead them to a playoff win. There are a lot of GOOD quarterbacks that couldn't have done what he has done with this team. Denver is not a good team, but they have a QB that is getting it done for them. He isn't going to win every game. He's lost 4. But guess who else lost 4 games this year, just about 2/3rds of the league.

Excuses all you want, but when Fox FINALLY let Tebow play. They FINALLY let him throw the ball on 1st and 2nd down and oh my god, look at the difference. He played EXTREMELY well today. He doesn't need to just manage the game anymore, he is a QB that can win games.

If Denver beats the Pats next week it'll be amazing, because they are no where near the team the Pats are. You could put Aaron Rodgers on the Broncos and I wouldn't expect them to have a shot at beating the Pats. So don't expect Tebow to. But, I think he's proven he deserves to be a starting QB.

No bet. That's a sucker bet.
Wait what? You got no faith? No "just freaking wins"? I thought the very presence of this thread should solidify that "just freaking wins" mandate?

Alright, how about a simpler bet. If Tebow wins next week, I'll never post on this forum again.

Same for any taker?

He just won a PLAYOFF GAME against the STEELERS.

wow... single handedly?

Don't tell Demaryius Thomas that he didn't do anything.

Thomas hauled in a high play-action pass at the Denver 38, stiff-armed Ike Taylor and then outraced Ryan Mundy to the end zone.

But... apparently Tebow threw to Tebow, who ran to the endzone..

Nobody expected Denver to make the playoffs

It would be a huge upset if they beat the steelers, number one defense in the league.

And yet here we are.

This has nothing to do with Religion and all to do with my team's quarterback. If Orton had led them past the Steelers I would be just as happy.

However, I understand that Orton wouldn't get the press coverage that Tebow has gotten, because Orton IS NOT Tebow. There's just something about the guy that draws people to him. And the media loves it because they know folks will read their papers and watch their shows when Tebow's on.

If they get double digit wins next year or win a SB i'll be convinced they're good. Otherwise they're just an ok/meh team, as their 8-8 record might indicate. Otherwise, I don't see how they're much better than last year's Seahawks.

Thomas can't do his thing unless Tebow gets him the ball.

The fact is when offenses don't produce, coaches don't bench running backs or receivers, they bench the QB. He's the leader and he's the beginning of every play.

Not enough to deserve his own freaking thread and every other blurb about football, or front page news, and THAT, is the point that the rational football fans are trying to make.

yet you're still here watching his every move. :D

Did I say he won by himself? No. When Rodgers throws for 5 touchdowns everyone gives him credit, despite the fact that he has outstanding receivers who make ridiculous catches on a regular basis. The QB gets the incompletion when a receiver drops an easy ball, so he gets the credit when his receiver makes a great catch. And by the way, that was a pretty easy catch and run on a well delivered ball. I don't know if you've noticed, but Tebow throws an excellent deep ball.
