The 2011 SB had the most ever viewers, which broke the last record of the 2010 SB, which broke the record of the series finale of MASH, which had the record since 1983.
On a side note, the last couple of SBs still aren't nearly as impressive as MASH, since the US population is 33% higher now than in '83. It's amazing how many households tuned in for that.

Everything on TV right now is about Tim Tebow! We haven't seen this much interest in a white bronco since the O.J. chase!!!

Count the amount of TVs available in 1983 in households vs. now and then let's talk numbers. And, I believe there were waaaayyy more than 4 channels in 1983.

Anyways, how about them JESTS!?

I wouldn't say Kordell's racist, but he certainly seems bigoted.

Though how race is even relevant to Tim Tebow, except in regards to pure zealotry, is beyond my comprehension. If they really wanted a genuine talk regarding race, the white guys shouldn't have pulled their punches. That would have made for a much more interesting conversation. :)

It appears as though Kordell is jealous because a) he's no longer relevant b) it's no longer about him, as hard as he tries to the contrary. Though I have no doubt he could inject race into every subject.

Yeah, Tebow's so incredible; he can push people's buttons without even trying. lol

You will probably see NE also stack the box to a certain extent and see if Tebow can make the throws, if he starts to burn them they will have to adjust. What's puzzling is that even after seeing he was on his game vs Pitt the defensive coach didn't respect the fact the he could make a throw like he did to burn them, or Troy just free-lanced his position and was not where he was supposed to be on that play..

I didn't watch the whole thing certain points ring true. I've been musing about these things for a while now.

A lot of black college QBs had the same skill set as Tebow but were never given the same opportunity. They either had to try to be pocket passers, play a different position, or leave the league. You can spin it however you want - it's a cold, hard fact.

I saw Kordell Stewart in his prime. He was more gifted athletically that Tebow is (certainly faster with a stronger arm). But after bursting onto the scene during his "slash" year the Steelers for some reason tried to shoehorn him into being a prototypical NFL QB, and it didn't work. They didn't design and offense for him and cater to his every strength. He has every right to be bitter about this situation.

1. Tebow and the Broncos have already greatly outpaced expectations, and this season is already a gigantic success. Even if they get buttmurdered by the Patriots (13-3, playing at home, plenty of time to rest and prepare, one of the greatest QBs ever, one of the greatest coaches ever, vast postseason experience, etc, etc), it will not mean they have failed or proven any haters right. This year, Tebow got thrown into an Orton-oriented offense as a last resort with poor preparation, and he helped take them from 4-12 to 9-8...if you don't think that's a very good performance, you are stupid. Let's see what he does next year as the clear starter with a full training camp and more than three starts under his belt.

2. Broncos coaching deserves far more credit. Fox and Elway basically made an entire Thanksgiving dinner out of leftovers they found in the back of the fridge. Don't forget the Broncos had their worst season ever just last year. The play calling is gutsy and disruptive, and it gets the job done.

3. If you honestly think Tebow's completion percentage is more than vaguely relevant, you should really just be quiet and let the big kids talk. Big plays involve big risks. See: Barry Sanders, Troy Polamalu, Reggie Jackson, Larry Bird. Good coaches know that incompletions aren't always a bad thing.

4. If I'm Dan Marino, I'm really glad my record gets broken this year rather than a few years ago. When Matthew Stafford can crack 5k, you know the game has changed. It's like 1998 in MLB, only we have our eyes open this time. Or rather, we have them closed to different things.

5. If you really have to hate something, hating Tim Tebow is just about as low as you can possibly sink. The guy's a winner in every meaning of the word. Go hate air pollution, or flossing, or Youtube comments, or starving to death. If you really don't have anything better to do with your life than dislike Tim Tebow, you don't have a life at all.

Was Kordell Stewart a Christian and not afraid to flaunt it? It's not really about skillset but image. Yes race may have something to do with it but the #1 religion in this country is Christianity so it's pretty obvious why Tebow got the opportunity he got. Also, to say Tebow didn't "earn it" is just being a hater, the guy works as hard (if not more) as anyone on the gridiron.

The lesson to take from this is go to assimilate with the majority if you want to be liked and given more opportunities, it's not rocket science. Someone give Kordell a tissue.

#TebowDisciples Does anyone else find it odd that the officials in the Pitt/Den game are named Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John?

Are you saying you'd better be a Christian to get opportunities in this country?!?!?

Seriously?

If everyone in your office is Christian but you're an atheist & not a part of their circle, guess who gets the promotion 9 times out of 10? It's called the good ole boy network, get with the times. It's no secret that the majority religion in this country is Christianity, Tebow is the guy who just got promoted over you. Sorry.

Tebow sealed the deal yesterday, that was one awesome finish. I will probably kick myself later but I just can't see them beating the Patriots on the road.

Broncos are supposed to lose that game, handily. But they have a chance and that chance is defense (oh, and Tebow). The way to beat brady, or any other stellar QB, is to blitz the hell out of him every down. Sure you'll get burned by a quick slant or TE, but you can't give him time.

Broncos did a good job of getting to Ben and getting a nice number of great sacks. So Broncos have the pass rush and the corners to support it.

If they can get to brady and the offense manage to move the ball and get some points - broncos can win. Tebow has already shown he rarely turns the ball over. Let's hope they learned something the last time they played.

Broncos by 3, with two patriot turnovers.

So does that mean you are taking Snail's bet?

Welker and Gronk both get double covered to shut them down, can't do that and blitz. So if the Broncos want to blitz every play, they'll bleed 5 and 10 yards with every down. I'll enjoy the show.

No, that's my wild ass prediction and if it happens I can come back and proclaim my genius. But you can't give brady time. Even with Pitt I would yell at the TV "too much time!" and bam, Ben hits a 15 yarder.

If if doesn't I can simply say "Tebow was expected to lose"

It's how you beat any good QB, you can't let him sit back there.

The Steelers offensive line has been a problem all year and losing Stark their left tackle didn't help the other night. NE has always handled the speed rushers well, like they did against Denver already this year. Denver will have to come up with some new wrinkles, blitzing CB/Safeties to confuse NE.

Tebow turned the ball over 7 times in the last 3 regular season games, so yes he turns the ball over. A big difference will be that NE will always have at least one safety deep to stop the big play. It's one reason they give up a lot of yardage but not a lot of points. So, Tebow will need to be accurate in the short/middle zones if he wants to be successful passing.

Fwiw - for all of the grief that the Pats D gets, the Broncos gave up more points during the season. NE also gets back their stating middle linebacker in Spikes who's good against the run and allows Mayo to move to the outside and Chung, their best defensive back is also back.

No, they were not bad teams, they beat arguably two of the best teams (maybe THE best) in the league. No amount of sun on anyone's ass accounts for that.

And the Lions crushed KC. But then lost to Green Bay and Green Bay lite. That means the Leos must be better than Green Bay while also being worse at the same time.

They may not be bad teams but they are certainly not good teams.
