There are multiple QB's having historic seasons.
There is a rookie QB having a historic season.
There is an average QB on a team having an improbable run.

Which of these is not like the other? Take the religious bullshit out and nobody is even talking about him. It's so stupid

He's a mobile Rex Grossman with a jesus necklace

I'm not even sure he can out throw grossman on the long ball, but he throws less INT's

Not only that, but if Tebow were a Muslim praising Allah all the time or a Jew praising Jehovah all the time the people lauding him now would be despising him just as vehemently.

Hmm, team with the second best record in the league (and the highest strenght of victory). I think what they are doing now is working fine.

Don't let the Tebow offense fool you. They put Jay Cutler and Matt Forte into the Bears offense and they win that game. Lets recap the Tebow experience.

Take the Miami Dolphis to overtime. Win 18 - 15. Tebow played horribly, but managed to eek out a win in the end.

Get crushed by the Lions. Tebow played horribly.

Get the Raiders after RunDMC is injured and Carson Palmer with a week to learn a completely new offense. Tebow did okay in this game, not great, but okay. Put in RunDMC and that game wouldn't have been close.

Vs. the Chefs. Tyler Palko takes over. Tebow is 2/8. Really do I have to say that Tebow played horribly in this game?

Vs. the Jest. Tebow played barely palatable football (he was the best running back in the game). Mark Sanchez throws a pick 6 that wins the Broncos the game. Tebow should give Sanchez a thank you card for making him look better.

Vs. the Bolts. Tebow has ONE spectacular play in the fourth quarter. The rest of the game he was hot garbage. Good thing his defense bailed him out again. This was a field goal game except for the one great play to Decker, but I'll give Tebow the credit for the win on this one.

Vs. the Viqueens. Tebow is 10/15, but the game was won on the heels of McGehee. Taking the 2-12 Vikings to overtime to overtime is commendable and I can't say Tebow held the team back as he had in other games, so I'll give him credit for this one as well.

Vs. the Bears. Already covered. Put Cutler and Forte in and this game is a blowout. Prater, not Tebow, was the MVP of that game. 3/10 in three quarters isn't exactly an awe inspiring performance. Heck if certain running backs learn how to stay in bounds and not fumble the damn ball in overtime while in field goal range, this wouldn't even be an issue.

In all honesty, Orton would have easily won four of those games that Tebow is getting glory for (Dolphins, Raiders, Chiefs, Jets). I can't say the same for the Bears game because Orton probably would have thrown a pick six and the Vikings game was pretty high scoring so you can never tell. The Chargers game probably would have gone to the Chargers since Rivers wouldn't have magically fumbled the ball on a kneel down if Orton was in the game.

So with Orton as the QB, I could see them being 7-6 or 6-7 at this point. Does Tebow deserve credit for that? Probably. He doesn't turn the ball over often which can never be overlooked. Does he deserve all of the credit that he's getting? No. Should a winning offense (Ravens) change their current play style around to match the "pray the other team fucks up so that we can win" style of the Broncos? Hell no.

Do I need to recap the last two weeks of Tebow?

Yes, I'm just posting an "I told you so".

Elway had a "wait and see" attitude up until last week and then he suddenly became a true believer. Now he's kicking himself for jettisoning Orton too quickly.

Um, no. Orton was leading them extremely nowhere, and had been for a very long time. If not for Tebow, the Broncos would be ecstatic to end up 6-10. Tebow's not a great passing QB, but he's a great leader. At the VERY least, Tebow is 2 wins over Orton for this season.

Quick, list all the fourth-stringers (heck, make it second stringers) in the NFL who can get even one more win for their team than the current starter at their position.

No one kicks themselves after dumping Orton.

Orton has been great at making believers out of many coaches, right before he implodes with a string of horrible outings that prove he's not worthy of being depended on every week.

Kansas City will let Orton prove to them whether he's a fluke or the real thing next week.

Sounds just like Tebow but instead of coaches it's his fan club that have been fooled.

Not defending TT here but lets face it, the Denver D put him in a bad situation he's nowhere ready for, 2 weeks in a row, if you force TT to be a pure pocket passer at this point he's a liability..

ummm, take 2 of his pick 6's off the board and they are in striking distance. The only reason the broncos won all those close games was because of the clutch D.

Correct, the clutch D that kept games close, Buffalo's Fitzpatrick had a great day today as did Brady the week before, TT's not ready for a shootout from the pocket (and might not ever be, who knows). I didn't watch the game so I don't know if the pick 6's came after they were well behind or not..

It wasn't that far apart. Bills had a 9 point lead midway through the 3Q when he threw a pick so it wasn't really desperation time yet. It led to a FG. Then, he threw 2 more for TDs to put the game out of reach.

Totally agree that he's not ready for a shootout. He can lead a defensive oriented team, like the 2000 Ravens, but asking him to air it out 30-40+ times is not the right thing to do at this time.

Brady may have had a good game but Pats have the last place defense in the league. Normal passers tend to have more success. Bills are middle of the road passing D but nothing elite like the Steelers.

I'm really disappointed in the Chiefs' loss. They had the game in the bag. That would have set up for a huge Week 17 game but oh well.

Suck it tebow fans! You got killed by the Buffalo Bills! YEAH!!!!

Yes, Tebow allowed Buffalo to score all 40 points by himself.

He is 7-3 as a starter this year, how many other QBs have a .700 winning record right now?

For the people slamming the Broncos for two straight losses, one of those was against one of the top 3 teams in the NFL that is sitting at 11-3.

1. You have to be able to beat the elite teams in the NFL if you want to be a contender.
2. You can't get blown out by mediocre teams in the NFL if you want to be a contender.

Also, he has a 75.9 QB rating...

Alex Smith
Tom Brady
Drew Brees
Aaron Rodgers
Big Ben

Joe Flacco

Difference between these QBs and TT is that they have a proven track record of winning (sans Smith)

The bolded all rank in top 10 in QB rating (Rodgers, Brees, and Brady top 3), Flacco at 20, and TT at a mind numbing 25

Just admit it, Jesus hates Tim Tebow.
