I didn't think he would need to be sent back from the future. Isn't the future now in this movie...?

To avoid spoilers, just say if it was explained in T3 how he comes back.

Dude, he's a machine, there are probably thousands of him to be sent back.

Viper GTS

Yeah, they just sent back another one. Did you wonder how he got sent back in T2 after getting crushed in the first movie?
Well you'd be a little thrown off if you read from the original post about him not learning how to kill a TX from killing the T1000 in T2. If it's yet another Arnold from the future, why would he mention that in the original post?

Here's what I don't get. (And I haven't seen a Terminator movie in about 10 years, so forgive me if they've explained this.) But if the evil guys in the future are sending back terminators to kill the kid, why is it that they can only send one every 10 years? Why wouldn't they send the next one to the same time period? I mean, if you have the ability to time travel, you should never fail. You could send one terminator after another to 1992, until you've killed the 12 year old kid. Why let him age before sending the next one?

yeah i totally agree....james camaroon didn't even direct it..wtf....t2 is a classic...and the ending in t2 was awesome...the scene where w/ the road w/ linda hamilton's dialogue..........now w/ t3 in..that killed t2's ending arg!...this better be good!..and not another recycled plot no?....

t1: terminator comes, human saves
t2: t-1000 comes, terminator saves
t3: T-X comes, eh, ternimator again..saves....why not t-1000 saves? :| so let me guess what the movie is about....t-x comes, terminator comes back to save john conner who looks like if it is really a older version of john conner, he probably went through 1000 plastic surgury procedures......and yay john conner leads the humans to this war.....etc etc..

Thats not the point!

The whole thing about him being destroyed in the lava stuff was that when he was destroyed and all the microchips and such were destroyed they would have never been able to be created in the first place.

Sooo.. this means something had to have been left behind or something to that effect in order to be created in the future where they could come back in time and prevent their own creation which means they never would have been made which means they never would have been sent back---------

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

man i hate time travel.. except in austin powers where they told you to just "deal with it"

That's one of the inherent problem with time traveling. It's been asked millions of times for every time traveling show. The answer is...no one knows.

Let me list an example for clarity. Say on March 1, 2020, they send a terminator back to March 1, 1992. If it didn't work, they would know the day they sent it. So on March 2, 2020, they could send another to March 1, 1992. Even if it takes them 10 years to make a terminator, they can still send one to March 1, 1992. Why send it to 2003?

Remember Arnold's arm that got stuck in the big gears at the metal plant?

That was never taken care of.

I could be wrong, as I haven't seen the movie, but that sounds plausible...

His arm was stuck, but, if they are coming back from the future it means they were created, which means they were never able to stop Skynet from going crazy, which means the world is going to end and the robots are going to take over no matter what.

If they did manage to keep the robots from being created they never would have been sent back in the first place because there would have never been anything to send back because nothing would have ever been created.

ugh.

I still hate it.. just does not make any sence.

Right, but he is right about part of his arm getting crushed in the gears.

Ahh I mistook that for the T1 scene when his arm wasn't crushed, but was just sticking out of the compressor. My fault. Good call.

His arm got stuck in the wheel - that arm was never melted in the magma

Everyone read this

It's an official book as a sequel to T2 so to speak....I can't say how close it is to T3's storyline but it explains some things

Right. They tossed in Arnold, and they tossed in the old arm and chip from the 1st movie, but they didn't toss in the arm that got ripped off of Arnold when the T-1000 crushed it in the gears, causing Arnold to tear it off to get free...remember?
