Lol being governor of a state that borders two countries is foreign policy experience.

I live in a state that borders a country. I must have foreign policy experience too.

Laff.

To keep P&N a discussion forum and reduce the amount of inflamatory troll posts, please post more than simple links or complete quotes of articles that can be found by anyone. If you believe something is important enough to post, you must have some opinion of your own about the content of the article or link.

We understand this cannot be a hard and fast rule. It is possible to state an opinion in the Title or Topic Summary of your post, but unless an article is of sufficiently earth shaking importance, simply posting the title or headline of an article would probably not be sufficient.

We will try our best to be fair and understanding when deciding whether to lock a thread for this reason. Please help us maintain a high level of discussions on this forum.

Thank you,

"Foreign Relations Experience: Governor of state that borders on two foreign countries (Canada and Russia)".

ROFL, post of the freaking year.

Plus, McCain was tortured for 6 years and doesn't have full motor control in one of his arms. Without question it shows bad judgment that McCain would pick a 44 year old VP with no experience running anything more than the state of Alaska, with most of her time spent as mayor of a 6,000 person town and 5 kids to boot. This seals it for a lot of women too; I talked to two 60+ year old women today who both echoed the same sentiments about poor judgment since he could die in office. Hell, they even said they thought she was too good looking.

McCain was given a clean bill of health a couple months ago. Hes not likely to die in the next four years.

McCain is unique in that we'll never know how much true physical harm was done to him in that POW camp. A clean bill of health means little at 72, when you can become rapidly ill very quickly. We already know he has suffered from cancer, etc. He's a good American but he just shouldn't be president when there's a far higher probability he'll die in office (or become sick) than Obama, at which point we'd have Palin running the country. Shows very poor judgment on McCain's part.

How many of those presidents were tortured and had cancer? McCain's mortality is a real issue. In 2000 McCain looked good, but now he's really showing his age. I was surprised when he popped up in the news again during the primaries.

Good thing they didn't mention that her tiny town got driven into the ground under her reign and she came within 40 signatures of a recall election.

I hope so.

Meh, some good points, some uninteresting points. I like the fact that I know much more about her work now.

Yep, exactly what I thought. Some good points, but sume 😕 points as well.

Put it in perspective...

If McSame & Palin get elected...and McSame kicks the bucket...who will then become the vice-president?

Order of Presidential Succession
1. Vice President and President of the Senate
2. Speaker of the House of Representatives (Nancy Pelosi)
3. President pro tempore of the Senate (Robert Byrd)

The Righties would have mass coronaries with a Palin/Pelosi administration...

This thought alone might be enough to keep the far-right extremists from voting for McSame/Palin.

The alternative, which is to elect Obama who has less experience than Palin, is far more frightening than a "what-if" scenario with McCain.

WHAT?

hell, if someone could GUARANTEE that McSame would kick the bucket in the first 60 or 90 days, I'd probably cross the line and vote (R) for the first time in my life...😀

I certainly don't like Obama...WAY too inexperienced IMO, and having Plagarising-Joe Biden as his running mate doesn't give me any comfort either...

Hey, is that other fellow....Ron Who? still running?
I'm certainly still in the market for a candidate...(none of the "alternate parties" are offering much for candidates either)

This snippet alone shows how LITTLE you know about Palin if you actually think she is the type of person to be run over by the good-ol-boys in Washington. Just save yourself the emberasment of owning yourself and spend 15 minutes googling her for Christ's sake.

I'm not going to argue with anyone. I'm just here to put forth my opinion and watch everyone cut their own throats on pushing their own agenda. This woman is making waves and the left is afraid............ Simply put.

Defend this position. I'm curious as to what you can come up with.

Mayor > State Senator
Governor > Senator

Very few people of any political leaning would disagree.

Governor of AK = Mayor of Baltimore, Charlotte, or Memphis

Mayor of Wasilla, AK = ??? Someone got any ideas for this analogy, I'm drawing blanks...high school principal?

You wouldn't think the Governor of WA has foreign policy experience either, but to say that position does not would prove that person ignorant. The Governor of WA gains a lot of foreign policy experience because of our ports and our apple exports to China and other countries. She probably does has some experience dealing with those two countries... it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

That site is truly "Fair unBalanced"! I have seen the light!!! Impale the Muslim and cast aside that POW pretender and make this superGovernor President immediately!!!

So a Governor from Alaska has different duties and responsibilities than a governor from Arizona, California, etc?
