Nobody likes socialism but the people of Arkansas are forced to pay federal taxes that go to helping the people of California in times of flooding and earthquake so I guess it's Even Steven. And you can't blame the people of Arkansas for voting for her as their governor; she has name recognition.

Moonbeam makes a good point but California and all other wealthy blue states dole out money to poor red states regularly. It's very christian to help thy neighbor so no one needs to bitch about it imo. Besides if you left it up to th epeople of Arkansas or any red state they'd soon begin fucking each other and messing up the gene pool.

Considering Arkansas is 24th in the nation on reliance of federal tax dollars, vs California being 48th, as well as Arkansas pays about 6.5% of what California does in federal taxes per year ($30 billion vs $492 billion), your statement is bullshit. Arkansas relies on CA tax dollars during normal times and during a disaster ... CA never gets a dime of Arkansas federal tax dollars ever.

You really should go educate yourself on who relies on the "socialist" hand outs. It sure as hell isn't CA, it's most of the red states, during normal times, and it multiplies during a disaster.

The federal government is paying up to 70% of the recovery costs and she wants them to pick up 100% of it. Republicans are totally against free handouts because that's socialist and is wasteful so the best solution is to send them a few cases of bootstraps.

Let them pull on those for a while to see if things get better....

it isn't that republicans are stupid. those in power aren't, they know what they're doing. their base isn't going to do the legwork of checking facts. they're not like democrats. they're also very do as i say not as i do. if her daddy was a nobody she wouldn't have a rat's ass in hell chance of becoming governor of that state.

I most certainly can blame voters for their votes.

Voting for independent is as good as voting for republican if it takes away votes from a dem in politics. the independent is usually the poorest in raising money and can be influenced. Not all dems are good or saints, but the probability is a lot fucking higher than whatever shit the R's will come up with.

Sure, but I can't absolve voters from their choices and willful ignorance (if applicable). The internet is a wonderful tool to acquire knowledge about how things work. Scrolling endlessly thru a feed designed to gain your clicks is wasteful, but really what most tech / internet users are doing these days.

Christian is a good term to use. It’s an old word for socialism. Of course it’s not really good for the people in society that matter because if we start taking care of people in need there won’t be people willing to work for them for nothing.

I never implied they could be forgiven for their misdeed of wasting their vote on gutter trash.

the twats who mention religion in everything don't know a damn thing about the bible they spout from. They'd shoot Jesus if he came back this Sunday and met with them for being too brown and speaking something that sounded "Muslim" when you have some of the wacky shit being done and said these people are far from anything resembling christianity.

It makes me happy to see someone who has a sense that distinguishes between Christianity whatever it is so many are deluded about.
Edit: I had originally quoted NWRMidnight in error to make the above reply. It was meant to be to the post below.

Aside from the fact I was being sarcastic, wouldn’t California get 6.5 percent of any federal aid that might go to California?

Themselves. See how that works? If you're going to vote, know what you're voting for.
Good advise but I asked you what fault is involved. How can you blame people for not knowing what they are voting for. How do you know they intentionally ignored that advise. I bet they thought they knew what they were voting for. Like I said, you are not going to find a reason to blame other than you wanting you blame themselves

Easy, they are either willfully ignorant, or they know what they're voting for. In the information age, there's no excuse to not seek out information.

I find it odd that you are confused by this.

People have the responsibility, so people are assigned the blame.

neither the state of ak or its people federal taxes?
What are you trying to ask here? Where do you think the $30 billion comes from? The people and businesses! State governments do not pay federal taxes in most cases, other than their portion of social security for their employees.
