my experiences tell me otherwise. i've been around enough koreans to know how they think (about other races).
you guys have this superiority complex, esp towards other asians. in fact, koreans are probably the most racist bunch i've ever interacted with.

<-- token white guy amongst a bunch of koreans in HS

I'm korean, and I bash any product, especially korean cars (although, kia/hyundai is pretty decent now).

But, I agree that a lot of koreans have more of a Napoleon complex. Small country, bitched between japan and china; and attacked by both for all of history... That has a lot to do with it.
I always liken my own kind to a bunch of chihuahuas :p Talk big and show we're the shit, but in the end, we're just not that strong.

I can NEVER get along with other Koreans due to this. It drives me nuts everytime I go to Ktown. That's why I only have very very few Korean friends; and they all have the same view of ourselves... we're fucking egotistical racists. This is coming from a Korean. Man, there's this really super interesting book on the Korean people by this asian-studies doctorate... I can't think of the name of the book right now, but it essentially talks of what I just wrote down (but in a much much more nicer way :p). I'll post later as soon as I remember what the title is.

America is falling behind because of foolish changes to its culture. Once, Americans prided themselves on their innovation and creativity, now, they pride themselves on how much money they can make screwing other people over. American children surround themselves with stupidity and reject education. They are being coddled into a life of mediocrity and consumerism, and they don't even care. America is about to fall. Everyone knows this.

Sig worthy post.

Look at Toyota and American car companies. The stuck gas peddle was a terrible thing, but it was in particular, fewer than 1% in seriousness of overall Toyota accidents in the United States. And Toyota took measures seriously, even though there was some lag time because of leadership issues in faster recalls. American car companies pocketed in profit hugely from this solely, for a very long while, while Toyota suffered sales. Now, this may not necessarily be screwing people over, but this is a clear example that the public will see only so far as to believe everything the mainstream media tells them.

Anyway.. you can't make an IBM or Microsoft or ATK or Parker Hannifin out of no where. America doesn't see this, fortune 1000 companies have been in business for a long time and the kids taking up major leadership positions from whatever era they've been in, are either becoming "stupider" ... or can't see the bigger picture.

 for being objective.
you sound like my one remaining korean friend from HS i still keep in touch with. not exactly self-loathing but aware of the arrogance of his culture and keeps a distance because of it.

(not to scale)

I really like their recent products, purchased 2 TVs and a phone. Very happy with them.
