It seems better to me than last year but I don't really have a any clue what constitutes a "good" beer.

I dislike dark, heavy beers, the new BL lime actually fits me just right..

Dogfish Head Punkin Ale and Southern Tier Pumking. Thank me later.

I have to try Punkin Ale this year. Been putting it off for a little while now, sometimes I dislike trying new beers in the fear of having to suffer through a bad beer (which is better than throwing away bad beer, somehow).

But other times, if I know the style or brewery right, I can make good bets. So far, I don't really know Pumpkin beers at all, and Dogfish has been hit and miss with me. At least, I haven't really tried many Dogfish beers at all, one of them was an IPA - I have since decided IPAs are disgusting, and come to think of it, the 60 Minute IPA was a far better IPA than a different one I tried, so I guess they can even make a bad beer type actually somewhat palatable.
...
Convinced myself, next beer run, picking up Octoberfest and Punkin Ale.
:)

Last year's batch of Blue Moon's Pumpkin Ale wasn't that great. Sam Adam's Octoberfest was slightly better. Hopefully these two are improved this season.

yes!! and the sam's octoberfest has been out here for a month or so, its pretty good, heavy yes indeed.

wait what? That's odd. They actually push the summer ale for most of the year a local bar owner was telling me. Too bad, cause it's my least favorite by far. Where do you live? I'm in Boston..I thought we'd get Octoberfest first :(

I picked up a case of both Sam's and Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest two or so weeks ago. I think the Sam's is a little better than last year's, I like the Sam's a little better than the Leinie's. Still not my favorite seasonal, but it'll do.
