Saddam's troops are going to be pretty busy relocating all those evidences.:)

Underground bunkers below sand dunes? Underground passages? No way. He's hosed.

I'd be very surprised if they let any inspectors in any of those facilities. If they did then I doubt they would actually see 'everything'.

They'll see plenty, or at least enough, if they get there ASAP.

Why do they release this information to the media? This seems like something you would want to keep hushed until AFTER the inspectors visit those sites. I mean sure.. they are going to realize that one of their top guys left, but telling us everything he said?

Interesting, isn't it? I don't know how/why stuff like this gets leaked either, but damn if it isn't exciting to hear!

Exactly. You would think Bush will get this info ASAP to the weapon inspectors and inspect all those place, hopefully catch Saddam with his pants down. If everybody on this board knows about this, even it is true, Saddam should heard about this by now and moved everything.

This is either total BS, or someone in the government screwed up big time by leaking this.

I believe this is a controlled leak by Sharon and USA to throw a bone to those who are in denial .

Also, they didn't leak all the storage locations they know about, just a few to alert UN and UNMOVIC inspectors.

No, sadly any amount of proof is not going to please some people.

This is unfortunately true. The entire city of Berkeley, CA is going to be in denial. They will then go live in their own little world where they ignore world events.

Or perhaps you will be in denial when this article is discredited and Bush's incriminating evidence turns out to be a convoy of trucks driving down a highway that are certain to contain nukes because of top secret intelligence
rolleye.gif

I don't know who you think you're fooling, the majority of those advocating restraint in the war on Iraq do so because of the lack of solid evidence, and would be happy to see such evidence and subsequently attack once it is presented. We have no cause for embarrasment if it turns out everything Saddam is accused of is true. Only people like you who somehow manage to get the issue mixed up in patriotism and similar BS stand to lose if nothing turns up.

So how is this not "conclusive evidence?" What will be? The point is, as has already been expressed here and elsewhere, that Hussein has been withholding evidence from UN inspectors, and has not complied with UN resolutions. Frankly, your argument is not valid because the evidence isn't even out yet, therefore how can you contest it if you don;t know its full extent? Anyway, this'll be an interesting discussion for you once all the evidence is out. Congrats for having the balls to stand up in this thread tho.

What are you talking about here...If by moved everything you mean the underground chemical weapons factory and two bunkers, we might as well call saddam Siegfried & Roy inc but actually even they couldn't pull of making something of that scale disappear unless they destroyed it all, in which case i would be happy with that as well

Smoking gun or not; the war is imminent! I think we all better get used to the idea. After all, I can not see the world being worse off without Saddam. Can you?

Eastern European nations have been building in the middle east for years. In fact a Bosnian friend of mine was talking today about her dad went to Iraq to build underground bunkers for Saddam. Since most of those countries are sideing with the US, they are willing to tell the US where they are.

Only thing is, I can see the world being a worse-off place for all the people enlisted in the Army right now that might die when the war does happen. Let's just pray that this scenario is quick and painless, and hopefully not another Vietnam. :(

I'm sure Saddam knew about what is going to get told to the inspectors with out the AP leak.

I would say vast majority are pretty eager to go, most of the troops been training their butts off and they want to see how it all going to payoff.

During "Desert Storm" we were pretty fired up and only handful were hesitant in our base.

Although I don't believe this war will be easier than first due to possible urban warfare, but I serious doubt that it will be another vietnam.

Our troops are trained much better, we are much more organized. and our equipment and technology are superior than Iraqis.

When you enlist, you accept the risk of being killed or wounded in combat. You also agree to follow your supeior's orders, regardless wether you agree with them or not.

Im sure we have some spy planes circling that area now to see if they are moving anything out.

Huh, What the hell are you talking about? Who said anything about disobeying orders.

For your info...It isn't just ones who enlist, this applies to ones who take oath also. If you know what that means.

If this is supported and verifiable info, our intellegence people will be all over it. It would not make sense to publish sensitive material like this in any news source, so by the very nature that this is exposed here in OT even with links to sources that are unfamilier to most readers, I would welcome this as the smoking gun should CNN or NBC or Routers or AP run it as authentic. Drudge is not reliable. And anything coming from the middle east is suspect. Dis information is as prevalent on both sides of the equation as geniune information.

I will rally around this when it is substantiated, and then throw full support for all out liberation of Iraq.

Please note:............ I say liberation of Iraq. We should not be calling this a war. We are at war with terroists. We are going to liberate the Iraqi people from a tyrannical dictator that holds his own people and the people of the region hostage to his threatening presence and obsticle to peace.

Carry on, arm chair warriors.;)

as nice as this is, why are we being told about it BEFORE they do something about it, I mean damn, you get this gift handed to you and you tell the whole world about it so Sadaam has either A) Time to move his stuff out or B) prepare to be invaded because he doesnt have time

I don't think that the US Goverment cares that this was leaked, seeing that Iraq will be invaded in a few weeks anyway.

This could just as likely be a ruse by our gorvernment to force some type of mass movement that could be captured through our intelligence channels. When G.W. Bush said the other night in his address that there were 150 inspectors trying to find WMD in a country approximately the size of California, I had to laugh out loud. Does anyone here truly believe that those odds are anything but astronomical? I knew people in California that couldn't find the Jack in the Box around the corner, much less WMD in the mountains or plains of California. The U.N. is a joke of an organization, they really are. Nothing short of an invasion and subsequent take over of the country by thousands or hundreds of thousands of troops will ever find those weapons.

As stated earlier to all the naysayers, this man has defied the world time and time and time and time again. He is a ruthless dictator that rules by fear over his people. No matter what we find in his nation, his removal is nothing short of being absolutely necessary.
