Why is exorcism still considered a "valid" religious ritual within the context of Christianity? Do people actually believe that demons really exist? If they do exist, then can they be called up and made to do things? Or do they just "possess" people at random for no particular reason?

I'm not Athiest; I am Agnostic. But I am interested in hearing valid answers to my question.

Fake as Joan River's face, why can't people accept that there is no such thing as demons and angels. There is a scientific explanation for every "supernatural" activity on earth.

Wow, she sounds like Devin Townsend on Things Beyond Things. Spooky audio, but I'd really like to see some video to confirm what I'm hearing.
marked for later.
SWScorch who are you kidding, if there was a video you'd say you'd have to be there in person to believe it.![]()

Actually, there are explanations for the bermuda triangle. One theory is that methane gas pockets rise up from the ocean floor in huge bubbles that are big enough to sink ships and interfere with airplane instruments. It has actually been tested in a lab.
Kthxbye

Of course not dummy. It simply hasn't been explained yet. BTW Aliens wouldn't be considered supernatural if they exist, since they aren't metaphysical. "Read...think...shut the Fvck up."-Bill Hicks(RIP)

You explain to us the Bermuda Triangle, and I'll explain this K?
Surely you believe the Bermuda Triangle is real...
LOL...
1. Get a crappy microphone.
2. Get a guy who likes to "massage" the microphone a lot.
3. Get a few guys to chant monotone passages.
4. Get a chick with a deep voice (plenty in Russia, I'd imagine) to scream and curse.
5. Encode in the crappiest bitrate ever.
6. ...
7. Profit!
OMGROFL
My point is, you all believe in the Bermuda Triangle. If you don't, you are an idiot.
It is clearly there, and obviously real. You can go there if you wanted.
Now, you believe that it is very real, yet there are no explanations for it.
So, that leaves you a couple options, you don't believe it exists, or you do but don't believe the phenomenon surrounding it.
You do believe in it, something you cannot prove or verify/validate it's existance or give proof as to the reason of occurances behind it.
So that would make you either a hypocrite or an idiot.
