Zero chance.

Valerii Zaluzhnyi is #2 in polling numbers and from a Russian point of view he would be worse than Zelensky. Zaluzhnyi is virtually neck and neck with Zelensky, everyone else has single digits of voter support.

Heck, literally ALL the Ukranian people who are going in the poll are Russian haters, there are Russian puppets but won't make even the top 5. Even with stealing.

The only chance? a coup from a Russian invader. That is the only way. And even with that does not asure to get Ukraine. What a screwup from Russia

Russia does hold elections with predetermined winners so it would kind of a pointless thing to demand.
With oversight of course the same that be demanded of Ukraine.
If you think about it, to NOT demand this is to play into Putins narrative that Ukraine is not a real country and all that bs

Let's be real here, the proper response to election demands from a fascist dictator who conducts them at gunpoint is derisive laughter. Hey Putler, shouldn't you stop trying to murder Ukrainian civilians if you want them to vote? Also...

The Ukrainian Constitution is clear, and not toilet paper like its Russian counterpart. And then there's the Rada, that already voted in overwhelming, resounding support of Zelenskyy. So, eat shit Vlad, and save room for seconds.

From a Russian point of view, zelensky is incorruptible and therefore unacceptable. The presumption is probably that anyone else at least has a chance at corruption. While probably untrue, nobody ever accused Russian leadership of thinking things through.

Despite continued losses....
Russia continues to go "all-in" on Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Putin has some thoughts to share regarding Europe, and that there will never be a "peace deal".
Trump will blame Ukraine, I'm sure. Though Russia has never changed its maximalist goal of Genocide upon the Ukrainian people.

Russia has expanded its military presence to approximately 710,000 troops
“To carry out a strategic offensive operation, the enemy has increased its grouping to around 710,000 troops. Despite substantial losses, the Russian army is not giving up its offensive actions, although it has not achieved substantial operational successes,” Syrskyi said.

Putin calls European leaders 'piglets,' declares war goals will be met 'unconditionally'

This seems that Russia won't stop with Ukraine, it clearly signs that Europe will be hit by Putin.

Jeez he acts like he's absolutely not worried about US intervention, I wonder why?

Speaking of losses... someone decided to examine the Russian side.
Notice that Russia lost over half of its initial invasion force in 2022.

That is why Ukraine made sweeping gains in the fall, before Russia mobilized. Russia lost the manpower necessary to hold the frontline at the time. Compared to today's 710,000 man invasion force.
Now, every year following, Russian casualties are twice the size of the initial invasion force.

Also, Russia is now approaching Japan's total losses in WW2. With no sign of slowing down or wanting less.
For Russia, spreading death is the purpose of its existence. Kill unto others, and kill your own to do it. #Russia.

This is what the dark side of humanity looks like, and why it is critical that our institutions exist to oppose it.
If we fail to safeguard them, and if they fail to act in a time of need, then Russia is what all our nations would look like.

Russia Has Lost 1.2 Million Troops in Ukraine—More Than Its Entire Pre-War Army

Russia’s military casualty rate

The scale of Russian casualties in the war it started is staggering—and they continue to grow year over year:
  • 2022 — 105,960
  • 2023 — 359,230 (+250,000)
  • 2024 — 789,550 (+430,000)
  • 2025 — 1.2 million (+410,000)
The scale of the losses becomes even more astonishing when placed alongside World War II casualty figures:
  • Italy — 242,232
  • Hungary — 200,000
  • Japan — 1.3 million
  • Germany — 4+ million

One thing to note is those WW2 figures are deaths, while the Russian casualty figures are all types.

From my understanding Russian battlefield medicine is both not good and indifferently applied so Russian fatalities are probably higher than the 3:1 or 4:1 ratio that's usually present but that still means they aren't getting up to WW2 levels of deaths yet. Then again they also have a much smaller population than the Soviet Union did in WW2 and their demographic pyramid has a lot fewer men of military age.

the typical 4 wounded to 1 killed ratio went out the window when drones started hitting any transport going to/from the frontline. no one is making it back to the rear for medical treatment. survival chances are worse than 50:50 after getting wounded. western armies are exploring treatment at the front now that the golden window is gone.

ironic that it was ukrainians who composed a lot of the soviet casualties back in ww2. anyways the numbers are going to be off as rus has been pressganging people from other countries with promises of visas, easy jobs, or big payouts and then sending them off to the front. chumps from china/india/southamerica/northkorea/etc are never going to be counted as an official "russian" casualty. they certainly aint gonna pay their families back home the death stipend.

there are videos of russians back home talking about how someone they knew went off and the body came back 2 days later. the average is supposedly 7-8 days life expectancy.

So Russia is experiencing a mass extinction event. The event being Putin.
I also feel like Putin has been losing his cool in interviews lately, calling European leaders piglets and whatnot, threatening with even more war. Is Russia finally on the brink of collapse?

Putin cornered himself into a no way out scenario the moment his three day special military operation flopped in a very humiliating kind of way. Like so many other despots' megalomania driven lifestyles, Putin's overly inflated perception of self can't ever see a time when he admits defeat in a fight he started. He'll keep on killing his nation's child bearing age men and women in a war he'll never win outright, depriving Russia's future of millions more people that would have helped mitigate Russia's ongoing problem with a decades old declining population.

He's burning his nation's candle from both ends with a blowtorch based solely on his personal ambitions. But who am I to say when we have our very own version of Putin right here at home. Pretty scary when all we have to rely on to keep the ship of sate upright is a group of lower echelon judges being lorded over by a completely corrupted Supreme Court and the nation's news media being bought out by the very folks who have every intention of running the nation through puppet politicians.
