To be completely fair, Obama’s Peace Prize was not earned—so it’s fair game if Trump wants an unearned prize too. Hell, Trump being nominated by the Butcher of Gaza would permanently mark this prize’s place in history.

To be completely fair, it's not fair to expect this war to expect to end anytime soon since Putin's #1 condition is.. no giving back land, #2 no EU/ NATO for Ukraine, #3 freedom to invade Europe again.

The 1:14 ratio must be continued for a while longer.

Don't forget putin requirement that Ukraine disarms itself...

In other Russian oil news...

The part I like: extra compliance inspections for all ships sailing under their flag. That's a lot of vessels, with them being the second largest registrar in commercial shipping.

Denmark needs to get in the game on this.

Trump's plan is to provide economic relief to Russia. To vastly empower their war machine during a temporary ceasefire.
It is to convince Europe to once more depend on Russia. To shatter and kill NATO when hostilities resume.
  • A ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia — not a peace treaty;
  • De facto recognition of occupied territories by "freezing" the issue for 49–99 years;
  • Lifting most sanctions imposed on Russia;
  • Eventual return to importing Russian gas and oil;

Europe doesn't have to depend on Russia for energy if they don't want to.

The big question is what restrictions are there on Ukrainians military and sending western weapons to Ukraine? The Russian peace plan is basically to disarm Ukraine so they can come back in a couple of years and get the rest after the Ukrainian military is disarmed.

As bad as Trump's plan is it's probably still well short of what Putin demands. Odds of it going anywhere seem pretty low.

Euros plan to phase out purchases of Russian energy over the next couple of years and the US stands to benefit from some of that so not counting on anything more than an empty promise on that front.

Rings familiar with how the Ukrainians gave up their nuclear arsenal. I'm pretty sure lessons were learned from that virtual sacrifice of their national security in exchange for false promises and lies from the brokers of that "deal".

Ukraine and Europe have been rejecting any Russian restrictions on Ukraine's military. Trump should be very well aware of this.

Wait until China strikes US and India at the same time and allow to get Russia by themselves.

Do you drink before you post? Serious question.

Russian/Chinese based AD was just shown, again, to be basically useless against Western weapons and tactics. Maybe you noticed the recent hubbub in Iran? Despite that, you think China is going to preemptively attack the US and India, while invading Russia?

Aren't you still waiting for Israel to somehow sabotage North Korea?

Why are you so determined to post stupid shit in here?

So basically still at square one here envisioning a plan that the Ukrainians and Euros aren't gonna agree to. Which is why this idea fell apart months ago.

Trump's negotiating tactics are fundamentally awful and amount to:

1) offer shitty deal
2) have shitty deal rejected
3) forget about the whole thing for a bit while he gets distracted by another bauble
4) offer something that is effectively the same shitty deal from 1 and repeat the whole cycle
