I saw Harris in person. She was perfectly cogent. I saw Trump during the debates. The bulk of his speech was non-sequiturs, half formed thoughts, simplistic summary’s of complex topics, or outright fabrications.

If you actually evaluated them on merit you know this.
Hahahahaha

Just more evidence Trump is in Putin's pocket. He is demanding 500B minerals deal to compensate for our support. Notice Russia pays no price for invading.

Sure Europe can stand up to Russia and fight a defensive war without breaking the bank. But can they stand up to MAGA in the future when they decide to reclaim their ancestral lands of England? /s

Some more tariffs, sucking up to dictators, and abandoning our allies and America's position in the world will truly be restored.

I'm ok with that. The EU should go their own way and see to their own defense. I have no idea what the U.S will do with the NATO savings, maybe a tax cut, or may spend it on disabled vets and single moms.

Germany appears to have shifted slightly right, so maybe we'll have one European ally when all is said and done.
After seeing the way Trump/Musk is decimating the entire Civil Service and destroying the government department by department, can you seriously think any savings is going to be spent on the disabled and single moms? Do actually believe Trump or Musk have a single iota of compassion to help them? A tax cut, maybe, for businesses and the top billionaires.
Edit: or perhaps use it to buy some more armored cyber trucks or subsidies for space X.

I didn't vote for a racist.

But you did vote for Russia. How does it feel after a long military career to see your commander in chief sell out the heart and core of your nation to Russia. Of all nations, he has you and every single American gobbling ruskie cock. Cant stand Hillary but Tulsi is a fine specimen?
I am just saying it must suck to realize your lifes work getting showed down the shit can by an Orange monkey with zero moral compass, honor, a draft dodger and a general disdain for people specifically like you

USA has left the building.

The US military complex is fucked. No-one in the democratic world is gonna put their billions into a country that is aligned with Russia and can pull the plug on your fancy tanks airplanes and rockets.... I think US will sell the already received orders and thats about it from Europe...

Also, Europe has a big enough weapons industry to defend itself against Russia if everything goes to internal market instead of exports. That was a problem while supplying Ukr, much of the production was already sold so very few things could be reverted towards it. At least in the beggining

What "facts" did I make up? Did I at any point say that you voted for Trump in 2024? It IS a fact that you've been coy about who you voted for this time, as in, you have not said who it was other than "not Trump". That's not the important part of my post; the other part of my post said it was reasonable to assume you voted GOP downballot. Is this me making up a fact, or choosing to believe something? No, it's me saying that it's reasonable to assume. If it's untrue, feel free to correct me, you have that opportunity if you feel you're being wronged or misrepresented in some way.

"it seems pretty reasonable to assume you still voted GOP downballot."

Wow, you really ARE slow-witted these days. It's obviously not a fact, nor am I presenting it as such, but in the absence of your confirmation and based on your past history, it is very much a reasonable assumption.
Furthermore: "If it's untrue, feel free to correct me, you have that opportunity if you feel you're being wronged or misrepresented in some way. "
Do you feel that you're being wronged or misrepresented in some way? Is it not reasonable to assume that, given your long history of voting for and supporting GOP candidates?

I think you have actually been toppled. Trump is a Russian agent one way or the other. If Trump was this genuine businessman going after Ukraine's minerals and whatnot, why would he not be going after Russia's resources? Russia being on the brink of collapse all he had to do was to crank up sanctions, support for Ukraine and Russia would be tits up within a couple of years. Ready for pickings.

No this is a rescue operation. Of Vladimir Putin.

Wrong. You made no point.
Just a bunch of racist blathering as usual.
Sure it's the black people are the real racists. In case you didn't know picture of segregated public accommodations just like Trump did with housing. I'm sure you like this image. Probably geeks daddy pouring water over protestors heads.

I don't think that will work. The U.S. is far and away the largest contributor to NATO, and spends twelve times more on defense than the second largest NATO contributor. I wouldn't have any issue with Europe being completely responsible for their own defense, but I don't believe they'd be willing to pick up the tab.
You, meaning Trump and MAGA, have already betrayed NATO.
The United States is an enemy of Western Civilization and Democracies the world over.
There is no US support for NATO. That died on Jan 20th, 2025.

US votes alongside Russia and North Korea against UN resolution condemning war

I did not expect to know what it was like to live in the Eastern Bloc. With the mass murdering despots and slavers.
With a religion dedicated to pretending they are peace and freedom lovers.
In fact, just today my local MAGA tried to argue the virtue of Russia.

I am now a German in the early 1930s....
If Trump has his way, Ukraine will be killed and we'll be carving up Poland with Russia.

Looks like the U.S. pay's near twice what the rest of the NATO nations spend combined. That's a big hole to fill, though perhaps they really don't need all that firepower.
I certainly don't have the answer to all of this, but it seems to me that when you have a free 800 pound gorilla to do your fighting, turning it loose and doing it yourself doesn't make a lot of sense.

I hope they do it, then we could use the savings right here at home.

Spoiler alert: the savings will be funneled into more tax cuts for the rich. Same reason they're cutting the Park Service and anything else that doesn't benefit the elite.

What do the facts have to do with anything? :p Conservatives have long since forgotten that Harris destroyed Donny in the one and only debate. Totally emasculated him, and his team knew better than to run it back again.

Besides, these false narratives are incredibly powerful to the electorate. It's perfectly inline with "Hillary is soooo corrupt!" and even (D) voters like our own BoomerD were parroting that Harris is un-intelligent. Who knows if people actually and truly believe this, or if it's just latent misogyny or racism at play. This is not a callout of BoomerD; he actually voted for Harris in spite of his personal opinions.

Having said that, my best buddy claims the #1 reason Harris lost is she's just not likable. Obviously misogyny and racism are real, but my buddy considered those secondary reasons. Not saying I agree with this ordering, but however you want to rank these 3 reasons, they do explain why many (D) voters stayed home in 2024 and gifted the presidency to a criminal. I've said many times Harris is not my pick in an open primary. I'm not even worried about Harris trying again in 2028, but I'd rather she doesn't take the California governorship.
