We’re comparing a war fought 40 years ago to one that just ended on Joe Bidens watch? Should I bring up Vietnam’s as well if we’re playing that game? Yeah, how about no.

And Ukraine isn’t ’demolishing’ anything bud. Just remember, it is Russia that has a trophy collection of NATO garbage on full display for their citizens to see, not the other way around.

In case you missed it:

A handful of Ukrainian farmers have collected more Russian junk than the entire Russian "army" has collected of the UA, combined...and that, in like the first three weeks of Russia's embarrassingly failed invasion, you ignorant cvnt.

Russia desperately wants to be viewed as a peer to the US and the west.

Thats why when they lose 1,000 tanks and destroy a handful of western tanks they want to feel special.

Remember when the US invaded Mexico, tried to stamp out the Mexican government and the country's cultural identity? Then got it's ass kicked so hard we had to use mercenaries, criminals, and 12k Canadian troops?

:tearsofjoy: Yeah, me neither

Poor cyka, still lost in a deluded alt reality where only the history he approves of matters. His ability to be honest with anyone, even himself - it's as nonexistent as Russian naval forces on the Crimean coast. Zero, zilch, nada.

During the Kharkiv offensive the Russian Army briefly became Ukraine's biggest arms supplier providing hundreds of lightly used tanks and IFVs.

@Young Grasshopper can confirm that it’s humiliating that Russia’s army is a piece of shit. Their three day war is turning into a three year war and the best result they can get is some marginal territory gains of places that are devastated.

Putin fucked Russia.

I'm going with 'less,' and that was before the brain drain Putin inflicted on his own country. They really are fucked, and beholden to China more and more by the day merely to delay said fucking. CCP China won't be the consumerist hail mary they want, not with their own looming population collapse.

Meanwhile...

Throw in Putin making Germany rearm for real war and NATO to gain Sweden and Finland. Whatever way out there might be, it ain't with a military. They can't even handle the poor farmer of Europe!

If you do not follow the war as closely, here is the latest report on positions throughout the frontline.

https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1847447978476232953.html

Have you read these links? It only mentions areas of the frontline's that there is active changes in territory. Which is very far from your claim of "advancing on all fronts". There is large sections of the front line that are basically stagnant.

Putin has turned what was supposed to be a 72-hour war into a clusterfuck 2+ years later because the Ukrainians had the audacity to resist the Russians invasion.
If you care there is a good book on this subject from William Spaniel called "How Ukraine Survived". Gives some good details in those desperate early days especially around the "Battle of Hostomel Airport".

The Gulf wars? You mean like the Iraq war, where over a million Iraqis were killed using NATO bombs based on a lie Bush told the American public to sell his war? Yeah, that sure is ‘getting it done’ alright. You must be very proud of that. 👍🏽

And how has occupation worked out for the US? 20 years spent trying to defeat the Taliban only to get your asses handed to you, and end up leaving with your tail tucked between your legs. I remember the Taliban even warned the US there would be consequences if they didn’t leave on time.

Don’t forget, also happened in Vietnam too. That was also an ‘occupation’ that didn’t work out so great.

You’re a cartoon bud.
Yea occupation is hard. But worry about the 3 day invasion first ok? Then we talk occupation.

You sure are putting the special in special military operation alright.

Of course I am a cartoon, I am trying to convey a message to someone who cant read right.

Vuhledar has fallen.
Chasiv yar has been breached.
Kursk is nearly cut in a half, from the flank.
Russians are growing their hold on the Oskil river.
Every day the breach past Avdiivka moves further.

I am well versed. You are disputing the notion of Ukraine losing land and Russia advancing. We very much disagree.

And in other news (no link) yet another oil executive accidently fell out of his 10th story window.... in Russia; naturally an SUV agent walking his dog found the dead man.

And if you go look at the map you have to zoom way in to see the changes in territory. They are miniscule.

I think the point for Russia is to take as much dirt as possible, by any means possible, before a Trump presidency and UKR is forced to give up dirt at the current lines. Probably also why RU is not advancing faster than they are cause they're prioritizing getting Kursk done before February.
If Trump loses though... I dont even how that's gonna look. Dissolution of Russia in a year or two? Putin *is* playing for all the marbles.
But if Trump wins everyone loses. Everyone but the autocrats of the world. Imagine a EU where everyone is sucking up to Hungary lol. Fuck this timeline.

Another swift gust of gravity claims yet another Russian executive...

"Mikhail Rogachev was found outside his 10th-story apartment in Moscow with injuries consistent with a fall, Russian media reported."

^^^ Who says they do? You can get your neck broke on the ground, carried up stairs and airmailed. Who's gonna check to see if your neck was broke before or after?

Yes but the best part is he was found by a Russian agent who just happened to be 'walking' his dog.... [after pushing poor Mikhail out the window]

I think all the Russians are full of gas. They're also all hopeless romantics. I mean, this is the only logical explanation for all the deaths from balconies and windows.

The Russian walks to the balcony, admires the setting sun, when all of a sudden an explosive fart lifts him in the air, only to sadly fall to his death, from the 10th floor. So tragic.

To what end? And who wants to haul a dead body up 10 flights of stairs just to throw it out a window? Increases time needed and exposure to witnesses. Those guys aren't amateurs.

He either knew the attacker(s) or ID was flashed, "Let's speak inside." Probably forced at gunpoint to wire off whatever money he personally had left, then it was Peter Pan time.

Speaking of dead Russians of note, scratch another colonel. Sounds like Ukraine followed through on that promise to go after those Russians who command and carry out attacks on Ukrainian civilians.

Remember that midday attack on a crowded mall in Kremenchuk, two summers ago?

Seems the GUR caught up to Col Dmitry Golenkov in the village of Suponevo, Bryansk region.

An energetic hands on dialogue regarding justice and the Russian love of hammers transpired.

"A Russian Tu-22M3 pilot has been liquidated on the territory of the Russian Federation. His head was smashed with a hammer.”

A video, shot at night, showed Golenkov’s body lying face down in shrubland, with his head covered in blood.

How sad. Anyway...
