How’s that counteroffensive going for you?

And you guys wonder why Republicans want to stop providing fuel for the Russian BBQ.
Russia has lost over half the territory it initially seized in the opening days of the war - lol.

How's that war going for them? Just a total failure of a society in every way - I thought war was supposed to be the one thing that country of degenerates was supposed to be good at.

It’s going fantastic for the United States. Russian power continues to evaporate as Ukraine steadily pushes forward and retakes strategic ground.

The death of the Russian military is exactly what the West wants, so I’m not sure why Russia is choosing to fail over and over.

I think they are doing it now because Putin has no other choice - the invasion they thought would be a cakewalk has turned into a national catastrophe for Russia but if Russia gives up Putin is probably going to be jailed or killed.

Since Putin doesn’t actually give a shit about Russian lives he’s happy to keep sending his countrymen to their deaths because it’s better them than him.

If congress made a deal to really loosen the purse strings for transfers of high end systems I could take that as a tradeoff for less humanitarian aid.

I mean like Typhon (including TLAM, SM-6 supplies), JASSM, ATACMS, JSOW, SLAM-ER, more F-16s with upgraded AESA radars, MK 48 ADCAPs for their sea drones, etc.

So fucking telling. What scum.

In a way it's good that the Republicans, led by Trump's MAGATs have shown their hand for all the world to see. It seems they really don't care about appearances anymore, having to resort to desperate means to force things their way. They're behaving like cornered rats, having given up on trying to escape and evade their fate.

I can't imagine how their behavior is affecting their poll numbers although I guess they think they are immune from being primaried out given how blatantly vile their actions have since taking office and how the remainder of their legislators have taken a hands off attitude toward their band of radicals.

Yeah, we've spent trillions so we could beat Russia some day. A hundred billion in aid seems like a great deal for the results.

We don't even need to 'beat' Russia anymore. We only needed to check their power for the sake of our friends and allies. But then they thought another land war in Europe was a good idea. We went to easy on Russia in 2014 and now the Ukrainians are paying the price. Initially, Britain was more helpful than us, IIRC. The Europeans were willing to follow our lead, so long as we weren't too harsh. So here we are

When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, Ukraine had the world’s third largest nuclear arsenal on its territory. When Ukrainian-Russian negotiations on removing these weapons from Ukraine appeared to break down in September 1993, the U.S. government engaged in a trilateral process with Ukraine and Russia. The result was the Trilateral Statement, signed in January 1994, under which Ukraine agreed to transfer the nuclear warheads to Russia for elimination. In return, Ukraine received security assurances from the United States, Russia and Britain; compensation for the economic value of the highly-enriched uranium in the warheads (which could be blended down and converted into fuel for nuclear reactors); and assistance from the United States in dismantling the missiles, missile silos, bombers and nuclear infrastructure on its territory. Steven Pifer recounts the history of this unique negotiation and describes the key lessons learned.**
Now we are stuck with some dunderheads in Congress who didn't take a class in European history and have no idea what has transpired there since the treaty of Westphalia in 1648. Elected, it would seem, by people who think Europe is a place their ancestors escaped from who's population are nothing but weak dithering fools. Granted, Europe totally let off the gas after the Soviet collapse (Britain and France less so).

Not now, Serbia.
Sunday: Build up? What build up? I don't see any build up?

Serbia’s president denies troop buildup near Kosovo, alleges ‘campaign of lies’ in wake of clashes

Serbia’s president has denied reports of a military buildup along the border with Kosovo. The U.S. and the European Union have expressed concern about Serbian army activity in the wake of a shootout in northern Kosovo that killed four people.

Pushing forward😅 More like getting pushed backwards.

I was wondering why you guys stopped posting counteroffensive updates in the last few weeks. Now I know why.

Russia has already lost over half of the land they illegally stole.

Do you really think things are going to get better for Russia?

I don’t. I have a feeling that Russia is going to slaughter tens of thousands more of its own men only to lose more ground and fail over and over and over.

It almost feels like far darker days lie ahead for Russia.

So what is the peace plan? What is the strategy for bringing this to an end? All I see is a war of attrition UKR cannot hope to win. Whatever win means.

Cut the land bridge which is what they are doing. Russia is running out of hardware much faster then they can resupply.
