Man, what's left? I guess the US could put them on the list with NK and Iran that basically blocks the export of nearly all high tech items

We’re totally not sanctioning oil and gas exports, but good luck getting market price from traders (Urals is currently at a $15/bbl discount) and then good luck shipping it anywhere.

Don’t worry, pretty sure they can de-mothball some of those Soviet-era chip fabs and start producing 386DX-compatible knock offs capable of running Russkie Linux.

Yeah but I don't think it's weird.
Apparently a side effect of using Russian equipment. Just like Iraq V1. Who cares if you have a massive army if they are all going to start waving white flags.

You understand that that solves to whoever has a button and is willing to press it can take/get whatever he/she/it wants, right?

Are you not paying attention to what the sanctions are doing to Russia's economy?

Refugees fleeing a formal war or refugees fleeing systemic violence from gangs or their own governments: I'm not really seeing a real difference. They're both groups of people in need of sympathy, compassion, and help.

Then let them overthrow their oppressive government or elect new.

Only people under threat from a Nuclear Power are worthy of Citizenship!!!

That's dumb.

I have no problem with them undergoing the full formalized process to request citizenship.
its the illegal alien/undocumented citizen that are a problem.

Yea, but I am not sure it means the same to Putin as it would to any other world leader
1. He doesnt have to worry about reelection
2. An even deeper divide, separation, a wall if you will, between east and west probably fits his narrative.

My opinion is that the status quo is rolling over anyway. But. In terms of extermination of the human race, I must admit that I'd rather see planet earth under Putin rule than extinction of mankind.
So maybe we should just hand it to him and spare everyone the middle part?

I'll takes all 6500 nuclear bombs before living voluntarily under the rule of Putin or anyone like him.

He's already losing oligarchs, political officials and other ranking members. When the whole of the Russian population is suffering, what do you think happens?

Some "Reports" seem dubious. I try to not get too optimistic.
A couple of the articles I read yesterday concluded that Putin is taking the gloves off, and things can get a lot worse for the defenders soon. :(

Slovenia is…*checks notes*…a NATO member as of March 29, 2004.

The consulate is Slovenian territory.

Hmm.
Any confirmation that is the Slovenian consulate?

This came up in my recommendations on YouTube yesterday. In my opinion he makes some good points, it's good to at least look at different sides of the issue.

Note its from 7 years ago.

What's chilling to me is when he talks about Putin and Russia going through a lot of pain to keep Ukraine from the west. I guess we will find out very soon.

I know. But its not 105 years ago. Technology has changed the game. Look at NK.
I dont know, I hope you're right, I fear you are not.

Putin needs to keep his oligarchs happy if he's going to stay in power. I guarantee they are not happy about all the money they stand to lose due to Putin's misadventure.
