I don't really get why people are asking this question. Ukraine is very aware of the convoy and would very much like to blow it all up. If they have not done so yet, there's probably a reason.

People make mistakes in wars constantly and maybe there's some way Ukraine could attack this convoy that they haven't used yet but I promise everyone whatever the reason is it's not that they haven't thought of destroying it.

People are expecting to see Iraq war style "Highway of death" stuff here I think. Which Ukraine doesn't really have the resources to pull off in the same way. Instead they're attacking the convoy with the TB2s and small squad action to basically freeze it in place. While I'm sure considerable material damage is being done they also are not going to want to advertise how and where they are doing this. Making most of the convoy run short of food, fuel, and frankly the will of conscripts to sit in trucks while armed drones buzz around to unleash a firey death on some of you at any time is more strategically important than being seen doing it.

BTW - Just to counter right wing talking points our lack of production left us vulnerable to bad actors like Russia. They claim Democrats stifle production but look at the facts. In particular check out the Obama years. Then we had a drop-off when Covid hit and nobody was driving

I wanted to punch John Cornyn in his lying fucking face yesterday spouting off that shit. It's like they actually believe we live in an alternate reality.

Yeah, it's like the lie about Biden not issuing new leases on federal lands is constraining production when the industry is sitting on almost 10k leases they aren't even developing currently.

It's just the entirety of the lie...
1) We've been trending up in production for years
2) The dip in 2020-2021 was one large part reduced need from a global pandemic
3) The dip was made worse when Russia and Saudi's kept the taps open to intentionally flood the market and make it unprofitable for US oil to refine
4) IT WAS UNPROFITABLE FOR US OIL TO REFINE AT $20-$25 A BARREL
5) Part of moving to alternative energy is to reduce our need for oil/NG...call it a green deal call it security call it what it is... needing less external oil sources

But hey, when you are a senator from the state of Big Oil and they shove a fistfull of money up your ass I guess you'll sing their tune.

I'm a little torn as to how useful the Migs would be at this point. Time likely better spent finding stuff like spare S-300s and keeping them topped up on everything else (small arms/ammo, grenades, comm gear, food, fuel, drones, compatible munitions, etc) and help getting forces trained up in in western Ukraine.

I don't think it's a game changer by any means, but at least it's something that can help... If they ever get there.

More so, it's now become a symbol of NATO fecklessness/politicing in helping Ukraine.
Lots of talk and words of encouragement... Slow on the delivery of actual arms.

I'm including the whole Trump holding weapon shipments hostage debacle in this comment.

Pre-invasion I think that's mostly fair. Post-invasion the country has been flooded with arms faster than I ever though possible.

That was partly what I was thinking when I heard about the "3 way" deal they were talking about. NATO status aside, Poland is more likely to be retaliated against if the jets leave from there into the battle space, than if they take off from Ramstein which is NATO air HQ and a direct confrontation with the US.

I'm not ready to buy that.

Cat is already out of the bag. Russia knows they agreed to this, they will know exactly WTF these actually jets came from regardless (even if Trump paints Chinese flags on them...)

What some NATO politician is doing somewhere is overthinking this, fretting, and making us look like pussies in actually carrying it out.
Putin will take that win. Hasn't said shit, but we're reacting with fear..

Meanwhile old babushkas are chasing Russian troops with sticks, sunflower seeds, and zero fucks given.

Ukraine just needs to invite Poland in for "joint exercises" and find convenient targets. Sorry your Russian equipment was in the way.
