Something I really don't understand is (well there are lots), that Trump and his cronies hasn't thought about how much their actions are going to hurt and cost American defense industry. I get their lack of moral, but their lack of economic cohesive thinking is mind blowing, but I guess with the tariffs too I shouldn't really be surprised.

4 casinos, dude.

Germany will allocate an extra 3 billion euros for military aid to Ukraine this year.

https://www.reuters.com/world/europ...-military-aid-ukraine-source-says-2025-03-19/

BERLIN, March 19 (Reuters) - Germany's outgoing government has agreed to release additional 3 billion euros ($3.3 billion) in military aid for Ukraine this year after lawmakers passed plans for a fiscal overhaul, a finance ministry document seen by Reuters on Wednesday showed.
The move is widely seen as a breakthrough after outgoing Chancellor Olaf Scholz had insisted on making the easing of borrowing rules a prerequisite for the additional aid.

EU to exclude US, UK and Turkey from €150bn rearmament fund

https://archive.is/6T8u0#selection-2371.0-2387.206

Arms companies from the US, UK and Turkey will be excluded from a new €150bn EU defence funding push unless their home countries sign defence and security pacts with Brussels.
The planned fund for capitals to spend on weapons would only be open to EU defence companies and those from third countries that have signed defence agreements with the bloc, officials said on Wednesday.
It would also exclude any advanced weapons systems upon which a third country had “design authority” — restrictions on its construction or use of particular components — or control over its eventual use, the officials added.
That would exclude the US Patriot air and missile defence platform, which is manufactured by defence contractor RTX, and other US weapons systems where Washington has restrictions on where they can be used.

In a win for French and German arms conglomerates EU bond backed defense contracts under this part of the plan is only accessible to EU based companies (plus Norway) for now. Some of the JV rules have a bit more flexibility however clear goal is to spend the bulk of the money inside the bloc.

They should have voted when it counted. 1/3 of population didn't voted. I guess slowly, Starmer is paving the way for a reunification, but it must be done carefully, no-one wants for another brexit to happen when idiots will run the country (again)

I feel that all of them has different reasons:
- UK: already have their funding on their own. So yeah, they are appart only because they have their own fund. Is to boost European ones
- Turkey: the risk to being an ally of Russia excludes them.
- US: Being an ally of Russia makes automatically an enemy

The issue is... that even idiots don't want any Brexit. Only Putin lapdogs wants

Depending on the USA for anything right now looks risky. That's become very clear.

I guess right now UK is not happy it got out of EU....

Also, USA is out. No Patriots.
Well they haven't paid into the EU, so obviously they shouldn't get something out of the EU. It is not free to join the EU, even Norway pay to EU, to get the benefits.

They did. Just like republicans, they were micro targeted by ads and by media to feel like it's in their best interest, that rivers of milk will flow afterwards and blabla. People are stupid, let's face it. George Carlin said it best. Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. Lack of education is a feature. Billionaires and government want stupid people, they are easier to manipulate and easier to treat as slaves.

I think for UK is also a small slap on the face for the stupidity of Brexit. Wanted out? This is what you've wanted. In the club there are roles, from outside you can only agree or not, not sway them

Still, can be negotiated, unlike the US

True, they only want a treaty
If third countries such as the US, UK and Turkey wanted to participate in the initiative, they would need to sign a defence and security partnership with the EU, officials said.

I think the Swiss are also a bit fucked, which is a nice FO after their "neutral stance"
It would also exclude any advanced weapons systems upon which a third country had “design authority” — restrictions on its construction or use of particular components — or control over its eventual use, the officials added.

Swiss might try to remain neutral. But with Nuclear fallout, that would be impossible.
I meant neutral as in "we don't authorize the use of our weapons in Ukraine"

Good luck selling any weapons to anyone if you put that kind of dumb stipulations. I bought it, I should be able to use it. Period. If not, gfys...

Which I think will happen, I don't see Swiss being on the list of approved countries

Even more, if they continue with their neutrality, they will be targeted by one side or other

Not really, they are in a mountain fortress in the middle of UE. Anyone attacking the Swiss are already near the Berlin borders... ;)

I don't think anyone is gonna nuke the Swiss considering everyone has oligarchs money there... That's their safe MAD

Its where most Russians with money go for medical treatments too. Not like they can zip over to Johns Hopkins or Mayo when they have the need.

The always in effect disconnect that is his life does make for a good laughs.

In this episode, the extortion loving, Putin adoring dipshit who destroys economies and can bankrupt casinos says "Hey, you should give us your power plants."

The felon in chief says this:

“President Trump also asked President Zelensky about the children who had gone missing from Ukraine during the war, including the ones that had been abducted, and President Trump promised to work closely with both parties to help make sure those children were returned home,” the White House statement said.

Felon in chief immediately defunds the agency looking for those children.
