Everybody wonders what happens in '25 if the 'Pubs take the WH.

I kind of wonder what happens if Joe keeps it. He won't have to worry about re-election. Will the gloves come off?

(Will UKR still be there by then?)

Does the Biden Administration want that?
It doesn't matter what they want. Or the next administration or any. As long as Russia has nukes, no one will influence them. The history of Russia is rather intriguing. It's always been a power struggle and some evil twat coming along. They will never give up their nukes. They'd sooner launch them if anyone tries to take control of the country from the outside.

Look at Putin's close circle. One of those will be their next president. Votes or not.

If the Republicans win in 25 then Ukraine is fucked. Zelensky talked about Trump this week. He said Trump wouldn't support Putin. Why? Zelensky added that supporting Putin is not what strong Americans would do. He was playing into Trump's love for being seen as strong and fearless. It isn't the first time a world leader sweet talked Trump into doing something they wanted him to do. If Trump pulls out, he'll appear weak because strong Americans don't pull out and let down Ukraine, and support Putin.

It's hard to say how the elections will turn out. But most President's don't give a shit what they do in their 2nd term. They push forward, especially if they hold enough of their kind in congress to help them.

When it comes to Biden vs trump vs putin, Sun Tzu's translated words shine bright. My money is on the old codger that enjoys a scoop of ice cream vs the two other fashonistas who swing their tiny dicks around as if rule the planet.

I don't think they would help contain the Saudis.
I'm no friend of the Saudis either. Another terrorist State.

Why the hell wouldn't they contain the Saudis? They hate each other more than you hate them.

Is this you again thinking simply that "all brown people out in the desert are the same"?

What the money will be used for is kind of pointless anyway - money is fungible.

Anyways, the money wasn't ours anyway and a rapprochement between Iran and the US is in both of our best interests. Like, does anyone genuinely think Iran is a bigger problem for us than the Saudis? We probably can't get Iran to rejoin the nuclear deal because Trump torched our credibility on that but an improvement in relations is a good thing.
So... in isolation, for the nuclear issue.....
  • If we refuse to stop nuclear proliferation at all costs,
  • Then yes, learning to live with Iran is the only real option remaining.

However, personally, that they participate in arming Russia during this war, is reason enough to declare war and erase Iran. We are not willing to treat this war for the Genocide that it is.... or maybe, far too many people really do not care about Genocide, or its proponents.... and think the arms to supply Genocide should remain in place. To me, that's a big WTF. Burn that supply chain TO THE GROUND!!! Salt the earth with everyone arming Russia.

Russia should die for its actions. That they have nukes complicates that response.
Iran does not (yet). Iran should suffer the consequences of providing that which carpet bombs Ukrainian civilians and critical infrastructure. Iran's participation in this war means Iran should not exist.

Personally I wish EVERY country had nukes. Possibly people would think twice before starting wars.

Nah... nuclear items would then become too easy to procure for folk with certain 'let the world burn' ideologies. We are at the tail end of the Age of Empire. Hopefully the last convulsion.

Personally, the fact that there are countries that view Russia's assault on Ukraine as just a dispute, sickens me. Especially the Russia that does not try to even hide the everyday human rights violations it indulges in, just like that gang rape of the married woman mentioned in the video link posted by Perknose. All those countries supporting Russia may not have the worst people but they most certainly have the most wretched leaders with nary a cell of compassion in their bodies.

I mean, there is a way to sympathize wtih the old broad about growing up not really knowing anything but being in the soviet union--but she's just been really into the lies for a very, very long time. Not like I don't get it. Life was more or less OK for her. Probably seen some crazy shit and endless violence.

Too bad she was a born a Soviet, no matter what or where she started as, she was always soviet. She can't comprehend anything else.

wanna bet the first half propaganda horseshit spoken by terrorized third worlders while Wagner bots stand off camera gripping sledge hammers was financed by Musk himself, as a Twit exclusive, to get people to "see peace"?
No shit. I just especially loved that young Ukrainian woman bringing the wood, big time, gorgeous and direct, with panache and elan. I felt like I could feel Putin's tiny hamster balls shrivel with each counter-point she made. You go gurrl!

I haven't had much alcohol today but I'm having a hard time following the discussion on this page. Something about tiny hamster balls in putin's mouth and people legitimately questioning why there's disgust for Saudi's gov.
