Is it politically advantageous? Then sure!Does the Biden Administration want that?

It doesn't matter what they want. Or the next administration or any. As long as Russia has nukes, no one will influence them. The history of Russia is rather intriguing. It's always been a power struggle and some evil twat coming along. They will never give up their nukes. They'd sooner launch them if anyone tries to take control of the country from the outside.Does the Biden Administration want that?
If the Republicans win in 25 then Ukraine is fucked. Zelensky talked about Trump this week. He said Trump wouldn't support Putin. Why? Zelensky added that supporting Putin is not what strong Americans would do. He was playing into Trump's love for being seen as strong and fearless. It isn't the first time a world leader sweet talked Trump into doing something they wanted him to do. If Trump pulls out, he'll appear weak because strong Americans don't pull out and let down Ukraine, and support Putin.I kind of wonder what happens if Joe keeps it. He won't have to worry about re-election. Will the gloves come off?
So you think we should make partners with another Actively Hostile Power Iran?
I don't think they would help contain the Saudis.
I'm no friend of the Saudis either. Another terrorist State.
So... in isolation, for the nuclear issue.....What the money will be used for is kind of pointless anyway - money is fungible.
Anyways, the money wasn't ours anyway and a rapprochement between Iran and the US is in both of our best interests. Like, does anyone genuinely think Iran is a bigger problem for us than the Saudis? We probably can't get Iran to rejoin the nuclear deal because Trump torched our credibility on that but an improvement in relations is a good thing.
So... in isolation, for the nuclear issue.....
- If we refuse to stop nuclear proliferation at all costs,
- Then yes, learning to live with Iran is the only real option remaining.
However, personally, that they participate in arming Russia during this war, is reason enough to declare war and erase Iran. We are not willing to treat this war for the Genocide that it is.... or maybe, far too many people really do not care about Genocide, or its proponents.... and think the arms to supply Genocide should remain in place. To me, that's a big WTF. Burn that supply chain TO THE GROUND!!! Salt the earth with everyone arming Russia.
Russia should die for its actions. That they have nukes complicates that response.
Iran does not (yet). Iran should suffer the consequences of providing that which carpet bombs Ukrainian civilians and critical infrastructure. Iran's participation in this war means Iran should not exist.
Nah... nuclear items would then become too easy to procure for folk with certain 'let the world burn' ideologies. We are at the tail end of the Age of Empire. Hopefully the last convulsion.Personally I wish EVERY country had nukes. Possibly people would think twice before starting wars.
Point, counter-point:
Seen a pic of the Ropucha on fire... now let's hope for the kilo alsoSeems like a non-zero chance the Russians just lost a Ropucha and a Kilo class that were in dry dock…
No shit. I just especially loved that young Ukrainian woman bringing the wood, big time, gorgeous and direct, with panache and elan. I felt like I could feel Putin's tiny hamster balls shrivel with each counter-point she made. You go gurrl!wanna bet the first half propaganda horseshit spoken by terrorized third worlders while Wagner bots stand off camera gripping sledge hammers was financed by Musk himself, as a Twit exclusive, to get people to "see peace"?
