Rush to Obama: Fight Me or I'll Own the U.S.

Obama would be a fool to go on his show. Nothing good can come of it. The best thing he could do is just give Rush enough rope to hang himself with...and that means not responding directly...

I wonder how long it'll be before the R's drink the Kool-aid in earnest....and a "Draft Rush" movement takes foot. 😀

That truly will be the end of the Republicans as a party. I'm no fan of the Dems, but I really am excited about another party taking the place that the Repubs now hold on the national scene.
 
When that other thread called Rush the "fat man" I thought they were talking about weight, not ego. Really? A battle to "own the united states". I wonder if he really believes he's the leader of the conservative movement, or if he just sees an opportunity to increase ratings...

There is a reason so many conservatives supported what they thought was economic responsibility in Obama.

Sad to say, if the Republicans as we know them now were in power, they would be spending more than Obama probably. The country was really fucked either way.

Gotta love Rush's ideology that he's so much more righteous than Obama because he earns his money - average Americans subsidize Rush for his blathering talk, and average Americans pay Obama's salary for his work for the country. What's really all that difference between the two? I'd say Obama is doing a hell of a lot more good for the country, for a lot less money, than Rush. But Rush's ideology is as usual blind.

Bush's spending was nothing compared to what Obama wants to spend.

Not including 2009 Obama will ad $2 trillion to the deficit in his first term.

Well Rush is not that complicated. His subtext is crystal clear--quite un-nuanced and unsophisticated, in fact. That's a problem for him since he seldom thinks before shouting his inane rants.

First he said he wants Obama to fail, in the context of the stimulus package(s). Then he got scared because so many Americans are having a hard time--made him sound like a complete ass, 'cause he was basically saying: Let them eat cake--so he explained-it away by spinning and backtracking that he really meant "Liberalism" He wants liberalism to fail, not the stimulus package.

So Rush is the one equating liberalism (as one coherent universal political ideology) with Obama--now that is just plain dumb, but I digress.

Then he doubled-down, went for the defender of Conservatism deniability thing. Took him a few days to think that up by himself.

Bottom line is Rush said: F. the economy, F. America and Americans--as long as Obama fails. It's all about Rush winning in his little mind.

Same thing as Bill Kristol in 1993. Strategize to monkey-wrench your political rival...and if the American public gets hosed in the bargain, so what? F. them.

How this fucking lunatic is allowed to be on the air is absolutely mind boggling. Even more mind boggling are the people that actually take him seriously. The people that call into his show are just as fucking crazy as he is.

People choose to listen to him and advertisers pay to get theirs heard by his listeners. That is not subsidizing.

Subsidizing is what puts PBS on the air since our tax dollars go to fund their programing.
