My boss pulls me aside today and says that he has been hearing rumors that I am leaving soon.
As much as I wish this was true, it's not. I tell him "I don't know where these rumors are coming from, but it's not true." and he says "ok, thanks for letting me know."
It's not secret that I want to leave, but I'm not sure where these rumors that I am leaving soon are coming from.
There is 1 or 2 people that act friendly around me, but I suspect are talking about me behind my back, etc., but I have no proof.
Would I be out of line asking where/who he heard the rumors from or should I just let it go or let him deal with it? It's not really that big of a deal, but if one or several of my co-workers is talking shit about me or whatever to my boss, I don't like it.
