Rudy drops out :(

Or just scoping out a city to retire to? 🙂

His campaign manager will have a hard time finding work again.

Why did he stick all his eggs in FL?

he tried a gambit based on the new primary schedule.

it was a spectacular failure... sorta like putting the police command center in the WTC instead of Brooklyn.

A year or so ago Rudy was the guy who was going to win it ALL.
Not just the primary, but he beat every Democrats in national polls as well.

And then he realized he was not going to do good in Iowa so he left the state, then he left NH for the same reason and then SC and by time we get to Florida McCain and Romney were getting all the attention and everyone just sort of forgot about Rudy.

I don't think he even knew he was running for president until after 9-11 and someone kinda edged him on. He's still clueless IMO.

I dont think Mayor 9/11 knew what he was getting into. How do you run on being Mayor 9/11 while claiming to be "hard" on terrorism?

Guiliani is not a good strategist. Hell his idea of preventing terrorism is to clean up the mess left by their attacks.

What happened is that he got exposed as a single issue candidate who didn't endear himself to his base, or anyone else for that matter.

Actually, I think Rudy is quite popular in the Republican Party, just not popular enough for people to vote for him.

Now that he is no longer running he may be treated differently. I am sure you will see him on the campaign trail in the fall.

And you wonder why the Republican party is going down the drain?

I thought it was the drain.

Oops, I have to stop that. We need to unite.

The party started going down the drain when Rove started using wedge politics in 2000. Rove and Bush have proven they could care less about the GOP. They used the GOP for their own wants.

Rudy drops out

I guess he thought people were as passionate for him as they were for the movie <buzzer sound>

Goodbye douchebag, hope you like whatever nest egg you saved up. If any. Silly 9-11, politics are for rich kids.

I'll say one thing about Rudy. when the going gets tough, he sure... knows how to give up.

kids don't like you? send 'em away.
marriage problems? tell your wife you want a divorce via press conference.
losing in a senate race against Hillary Clinton? abandon your run.
facing bad poll numbers in 3 primary states? retreat.
lose a primary? drop out.

Be honest; who here 6 months ago would have bet their life that Paul would drop out before Rudy? And yet Paul haters will still denigrate this guy.

of course he dropped out before Paul... I was saying all spring/summer that he didn't have a chance in hell, no matter what his national numbers looked like at the time.

if living in NYC under Rudy taught me anything, it's that the more you know 9/11, the more likely you are to dislike him 😛

Rudy entered the race to win it and gave up as soon as it became a challenge. Paul... is doing his thing. he knows he never had a chance and still doesn't, he's just trying to drum up press for his libertarian issues.

You didn't answer the question. 😉

never bet on the insane 😛

What I find most interesting is that Rudy was best positioned to win the nomination. I really believe he could have done it had he played his cards right. Thank goodness he screwed everything up early on however by fearing a middle of the road finish in NH & Iowa and wasting all his time and money in Florida. What a terrible decision.
