Rosenstein heading to WH in expectation of being fired, reportedly resigned

Then it's safe to assume Rosenstein will not be fired tomorrow to distract from the Kavanaugh hearing? You seem to be having a really hard time keeping your narrative straight.
I cant make senses of this.. What is dsf suggesting here, that Rosenstein cant be fired tomorrow cause he spends the whole 24h face to face with Trump?

If word on the street is correct, Thursday is just a formality. Rosenstein is already gone. We'll find out if word on the street is correct tomorrow.

If he is fired then what is anyone going to do about it? It's not like congress is going to take any responsibility for anything other than lining their pockets.

There is no doubt that Trump has the authority to fire Rosenstein, but the optics would be very bad, especially during Mueller's investigation. If Rosenstein is gone, it's probably because of resignation, rather than being fired..

Here's my prediction, Rosenstein will stay unless fired and he won't resign.

My understanding is that if Rosenstein quits then Trump can appoint a replacement with either no consent from the Senate or at least delayed consent. If Rosenstein is fired, then Senate confirmation is required upfront. I too doubt Rosenstein will quit.

My understanding is after a resignation, the spot can be filled by anyone who has previously been confirmed by the Senate for another post. If he's fired, a new confirmation for that specific post is required, and he can't just "lateral" someone in to the spot.

Not sure who is correct.

That makes sense.

Trump should have fired Mueller long time ago and not let this witch hunt gain any traction in the first place. All he can do now is order his justice department, FBI, CIA, NSA and Pentagon to go after Mueller and all of his known associates and find the money trails, find the links, find the corruption and have them all prosecuted for conspiracy to subvert the US constitution and a sitting US president. Essentially treason! And if found guilty they should at least be hang in public.

FIVR, just one account, okay?

Don't worry, they've already found all the money trails and all the links and all the corruption. It's going to be so hard for you to deal with that, though. No matter, you won't believe the truth then because you refuse to believe it now.

You simply don't care. You spend your life watching Youtube Longhair videos through your domain in St Petersburg.

Don't you hate it when something happens that potentially detracts from plans to dominate the news cycle with highly dubious allegations? We can't have that!

Why are they dubious? Let's go about this point by point, and recall that the same tired fraudulent excuses that belie a complete lack of understanding the nature of sexual abuse and rape are useless here.

This is why I find the three allegations dubious.

Ford - A case of mistaken identity? Two men have recently stepped forward saying they were involved in the incident she alleges, not Kavanaugh. This makes sense to me as I personally find her description of what happened to her to be convincing, but I also find Kavanaugh's unequivocal denial to be convincing as well.

Ramirez - No witnesses, no evidence, and she admits that she was incredibly drunk at the time. She contacted former classmates a few weeks ago and told them she wasn't sure that it was actually Kavanaugh who exposed himself to her. It took her 6 days of talking to a Democratic operative before she was convinced that it was indeed Kavanaugh she "remembered" with 100% certainty.

Swetnick - Known lunatic with an incredibly outlandish allegation. Ex-boyfriend had to seek a restraining order against her and explicitly stated she has no credibility. Zero evidence.

Sort of like Nixon should have ended the Watergate investigation; Reagan, Iran-Contra; Clinton, Whitewater (which eventually led to his impeachment over lying about a blowjob)....etc.

No investigation against a sitting President or his actions is ever warranted, is that correct?

Not to mention, the Mueller investigation didn't have anything to do with Trump at first, it was formed to find out about Russian interference. Trump brought himself into it with obstruction of justice (in public), and very possibly with his financial dealings that are tied to the criminal activities of his underlings that have already been found guilty. Ie, some witches.... Trump has himself to blame if he is in Mueller's crosshairs.

This is impressively insane.

And what do you make of the FBI not being involved to independently substantiate all your doubts. I find it interesting that where there is a will to believe, the reasons that support it follow so easily.

It is kind of amazing to me that conservatives claim to believe Kavanaugh is the victim of a coordinated smear campaign yet adamantly refuse any investigation that could clear his name.

I wonder why that is.

One comforting fact, I believe, is that opinions like his are only found in a tiny fraction of the world’s population, those who are of the American right. The rest are either laughing like at the U.N., or concerned about what’s for lunch. He is a member of a tiny brainwashed cult, and of no real importance in the great span of history, sound and fury signifying nothing, but so so self important, which is the whole motivation.

I believe they suffer from the disease of gut certainty. Who needs objectively gathered evidence when you already know he’s being framed. They live in a prison cell that has ‘this is not a prison’ written on every bar.

I do feel like the imagined loss of importance is the primary motivating influence behind modern American conservatism. Everyone used to pay attention to them and they're freaking out because that's not as true anymore.
