Don't know if it was previously mentioned in this thread but I had to LMAO when I heard of Romney's excuse that gifting is why Obama won.
I wanted slap Romney up the backside of his head for neglecting the gift giving he himself was doing wrt more tax cuts for the rich (himself included fer cry'in out loud), more corporate welfare and more deregulating to enrich big businesses at the expense of protecting consumers from being poisoned and ripped off.
Doesn't he even have an ounce of foresight and situational awareness that would keep him from making a complete ass of himself all the time?
All through the campaign he pulled this kind of crap, only to be slapped down for it. And he went on and on with this garbage as if his campaign was being run flawlessly. Well, maybe he really DID think he was doing a great job because he said he fully expected to win, and win big.
The disconnect is astounding if not absolutely frightening to think that as president he could delude and rationalize himself into taking any manner of policy and action as he did during his campaign, along with all those other biased pundits, forecasters and supporters of his that wanted him (them) to win so bad they actually convinced themselves they would despite most indicators pointing the opposite way.
It seems this diesease has spread out to the Repubs in Congress to see some of them harden their positions without rhyme or reason except that they know in their hearts they're right despite having their asses handed to them this past election cycle. What will it take to have them snap out of this self-inudced trance that they're in so we all can "move forward" and raise the standard of living for all Americans instead of just the priviledged few?
