The FBI wanting to take a shot at Trump would be extremely bad news. I hope that's not the case and it was simply the desire to put on a show.
 
OK, he's fishing for a pardon, which would be obstruction of justice, a crime according to Barr if done before the investigation and prosecution is complete.
 
You can't make this up: Stone just gave the exact same "V for victory" expression that Nixon gave after resigning the presidency. You'd think he would realize that the symbolism is more damning of him than a show of strength.

Not yet, but the DOJ with the aid of the FBI may take Trump down, but not yet. Things are from Stone up at this point. I'd expect Trump's family are on the checklist soon if not already near indictment.
 
This is where it's necessary to point out Stone has a tattoo of Nixon on his back. What a complete lunatic.

Make no mistake about it. If any of these indicted campaign operatives is virtually guaranteed a pardon at some point...it's Roger Stone. There's no way the Republican Party allows him to rot behind bars.

That's the most likely outcome in my opinion. Trump and his people still operate as if they're running a business where shady deals tend to not get discovered. They play fast and lose thinking that they're protected by being at the top of the food chain.

Stone or Trump? Trump is most likely going to prison, it's just a matter of where. If Trump pardons Stone before all is said and done it is absolutely criminal obstruction per the incoming AG who I sense identifies with Mueller more than Trump or McConnell. It would be more pressure on a caving GOP with impacts being felt from a looming air traffic shutdown as just the begging of government collapse.

Looks likely that Trump is going to speak at the Rose Garden. Could be just an attack against prosecutors, a boast and NO COLLUSION LEAK TO CNN. Might be about Stone and interfering to prejudice in favor of Stone. Might be another failed "compromise", could threaten ATCs or all the above.

The best "Oh look a squirell" would be to declare a national emergency.

I think it needs to be understood that Comey, McCabe & Strzok were deeply respected in the organization. And then Trump & friends fucked 'em. And now he's fucking up their jobs with the shutdown. If they're having trouble remaining impartial given all the bullshit Trump has thrown their way, it would be understandable.

Given the number of Trump associates already busted & internal knowledge about (likely) more, the office scuttlebutt is probably pretty juicy.

Comey torpedoed Hillary's bid for the white house, I'd think most dems would have been happy to see him go. Strzok deserved to get canned. He pulled his gun, took careful aim at his foot, and fired twice. Then couldn't understand why it hurt.
I'm not sure about McCabe. I just don't know enough about him or the events he was involved in to have an opinion.
