Given that he repeatedly flouted the judge's orders before trial I'm astonished that the judge didn't immediately remand him to custody (like was done with Manafort) immediately upon the verdict instead of releasing him until sentencing. He's going to appeal this for no other reason than delay and if Trump gets re-elected he will pardon Stone immediately-as part of the process of winding up and destroying the USA.
That path (re-election and pardon) is Stone's only hope. No way the DOJ will cut a deal with him now even if he offers it-he is such a repeated and proven liar he will have absolutely no credibility as a witness (unless he has recordings).
Trump doesn't have to win re-election to pardon his pals. He can do so any time between the election & the inauguration. He can even pardon Pence for crimes unspecified, resign & President Pence can pardon him. All neat & tidy.
