Seriously though....good point made about it just holding the conents until time to cook it. Rice doesn't cook slowly. If your rice sat there and cooked all day on a low heat, it would be CREAM OF RICE by the end of the day. There would be NO distinguisable grains, and the misture would basically be dirty water incapable of holding its own volume AT ALL. Don't beleive me? Try it.
Also, just because a rice cooker doesn't have an electroluminescent panel and an OC-3 connection to the MATRIX does not mean it is gonna cook rice any worse than any other cooker. The water boils, steams out, the weight changes, and the cooker turns itself to low heat. That is with ANY rice cooker. THE RICE does the work.
