That's what it feels like when I ask a trump supporter what they think of Trump's Wall Street recruitment efforts. Apparently 18+ months of frothy anger and resentment towards Wall Street and it's establishment lackey's never happened. Just...ugh.
Trump supporters will twist themselves into pretzels over this - saying stuff like "you need some experts" or "some of them are okay" to justify his atrocious cabinet picks, because god forbid anyone ever admit they were wrong or were duped by a con artist.

When he announced that millions of illegals voted for Hillary despite zero evidence
What's fun to do when Trump supporters repeat this claim is to ask how they can be so sure that millions of illegal votes were cast for Hillary but the ~80,000 votes for Trump across 3 states (Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania) that gave him the electoral victory were legitimate.

Tillerson will be a great pick for Russia. With him in charge, he's already negotiated with Putin to drill in the arctic and at the same time he can negotiate with OPEC to manipulate production and halt refinement for a period of time and create artificially high gas and oil prices. Combined with removing all subsidies to alternative energy and the complete end to any gov sponsored climate or renewable research we should have 6$ a gallon gas by next christmas.

6$ a gallon gas and $120 a barrel oil will clean up the Russian economy and bring the petro-state back into competition with the likes of the USA and China. Venezuela will benefit immensely too, so will Saudi Arabia. The best people win, it's a flawless plan if you know you aren't going to live to see the consequences. Trump is what, 70? He doesn't care if average temps hit 110F in Florida by 2040.

The funniest part about all this is this will totally screw the middle east, especially Israel. By 2080 Israel won't be habitable. Temps will reach 100F often in the middle of the winter, and in the summer you might see water boil. Meanwhile Netanyahu and the Israelis (most of them anyway) are celebrating Trump's victory. They couldn't care less if Bannon is an anti-semite, or if Trump is going to destroy their country. They are too stupid.

These are not Powerball numbers, but temp highs for my city in next few days. So (globally) warm

So in your mind low temperatures where you are means global warming is a farce?

Where do these morons come from and why are there so many of them?

Different decade, same hysteria.

Government regulation
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Tillerson expressed his impatience with government regulation, stating "there are a thousand ways you can be told ‘no’ in this country."[29]

Education
In September 2013, Tillerson wrote an op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal defending Common Core.[30]
Oh great.

"I just wanted to hit grandma over the head with a shovel but there are these pesky regulation... so many of them, too!"

One thing you can bank on...Tillerson knows who he's dealing with and isn't so naive as to think a reset button and unilaterally throwing a couple of our NATO allies (Czech Republic and Poland) under the bus is a good strategy for dealing with them.

Hillary Clinton was the worst fucking SoS in recent history.

I don't think any of our NATO allies have gone under the bus. Well, unless they don't pay up under a Trump Admin.

Hillary was worse than the SoS who knowingly lied to the UN to facilitate the invasion of Iraq?

Doesn't look like the GOP Russia hawks in the Senate are buying what you're selling. Several of Trump's shitty picks are going to have real confirmation problems and his former competitors in the Senate will have the knives out to pounce on any weakness.

She knowingly lied regarding impending genocide in Libya to convince a reluctant Obama to bypass Congress to help in overthrowing Qaddafi....which directly resulted in a failed State, destabilization of the region, and massive human suffering which is significantly contributing to the massive exodus to Europe to this day.

My point is that he's a helluva lot better qualified than Hillary was.

No diplomatic experience. No governmental experience. Unknown personal views and conflicts of interest with nations he'll be across the table from. Apparently besties with Putin. Seems worse to me.

Also the point is well made above that if you're looking for where the low recent bar was set it's not even arguable that the GWB years didn't set the gold standard for gross incompetence.

Gawd. Neither link supports the notion she lied. Your second link illustrates that our NATO allies, France in particular, opened hostilities with the Libyan regime before we even committed to the proposition.

Libya is in no way near the debacle that the invasion of Iraq created. It can't be, with a population of only 6.2M as compared to ~26M people in Iraq at the time, not to mention the enduring disruptions caused in Turkey, Syria & Jordan.

Beyond that, you're basically complaining that Hillary was more like the Neocons & right wing militarists than you approve of, even though you show no disdain for their much greater efforts.

Glarble!! Glarble!! Climate change fake, 97% of world scientists are on the take! Glarble!!

Moving toward a less confrontational posture with Russia is not bad in concept. We don't have the stones to follow through on any threat we might make to them, so it's probably better to try honey instead of vinegar.

It's the Russians who have adopted a confrontational posture In Ukraine & in Syria. Deal with it.

I'm not Ukrainian or Syrian. To confuse Russia's posture towards other countries with our own is a distinctly interventist thing, while Ukraine is nominally our ally, we're obviously not willing to go to bat for them. Deal with it.

An energy company CEO that has business relationships in an oil exporting country? Shocking!

Do we have anything else on this guy to get truly outraged?

Well it could be the fact that being the CEO of an oil company isn't great experience for SoS, and comes with a ton of conflicts of interest, as you just pointed out.

The subject was Hillary Clinton and Libya...your diversion to Iraq is highly transparent and indicative of simple-minded rationalization on your part.

Her insistence of immediate action due to impending genocide was a lie that was never corroborated by U.S. intelligence.
