In a Facebook post Tuesday morning, Ms. Rice wrote: “Rex Tillerson is an excellent choice for Secretary of State. He will bring to the post remarkable and broad international experience; a deep understanding of the global economy; and a belief in America’s special role in the world.
Some perspective on the decision.

Wouldn't be the first time she put her party ahead of her country.

Some perspective on the decision.

Is it really perspective though?

It turns out Tillerson’s company pays for their consulting firm’s services.

Exxon has contracted with RiceHadleyGates LLC since at least 2011 on issues including Middle East policy, according to Iraq Oil Report, a respected industry publication.

The only perspective it offers is how easily trump is influenced by anyone.

They voted for Trump because their bullshit detectors are broken.

No they voted for trump because this is what they wanted, hoping for some white welfare kickbacks from wherever possible. Notice not a single one believes doing Putin's bidding is a bad idea as long as they get something out of it.

Nope...it was the alternative to Trump that perfectly explains the Trump vote.

If you actually believed this, then you wouldn't be here rationalizing why Trump is so great.

Either way, people who are not millionaires+ are about to get fucked, which is the vast majority of people.

Strongmen stay in power by paying off their lackeys, at least the useful ones. Even if Trump/Bannon somehow can't figure this out, Putin will fill them in.

Can't wait for conservatives to be outraged at the blatant transactional exchange of money for political power.

Surprise, they never gave a shit in the first place.

Your scurrilous "white welfare" schtick is getting old. Trumpsters don't want welfare. They want jobs & opportunity. They want to contribute & to be compensated for it. They want to be needed. It all ties back into self image & self worth.

What they don't realize is that the Jerb Creators! need fewer & fewer of us to work with every passing day. They think the wall & supposedly better trade deals will turn that around but they're really rather sadly mistaken. They are beguiled.

They don't give a shit where the money comes from as long as they get paid. Ie., if there's money in dead muslims as there was in dead jews.

ROFL at the mental giants among us who are so steeped in their hyper-partisan "reality" they can't see just how completely insane they've become.

Pretty revealing they can't even come to terms with the fact so many of their sort's paychecks are predicated on killing politically expendable minorities.

Everyone knows it's not in your sort's interest to argue facts of the situation.
"Facts" like your framing middle class tax cuts as "white welfare kickbacks" or like "not a single one believes doing Putin's bidding is a bad idea as long as they get something out of it" or like...

Let me clue you in on a little something here...these are NOT the "facts of the situation"...these are merely your hyper-partisan opinions and conjecture...and for you to frame them as "facts" is a clear indication of the bubble you live in...a bubble of hyper-partisan mental depravity and intellectual perversity.

No, it's simply a fact all that defense money (half the budget) overwhelming going to white rural areas is far more lucrative than subsidies that brownies get.

It's also a fact that you personally despise these unimpeachable facts, and thus will say/do anything to never acknowledge the obvious; it's simply what that sort do as predicted.

At least he's got the endorsement of all the main players that got us into Iraq in '03. So he's got that going for him, right? Right?

Wow. I didn't know this was an unimpeachable fact...and I remain ignorant to this day since you failed to provide citations. And, as such being the case, your subsequently framing it as another "fact" that I "personally despise these unimpeachable facts" is, in reality, fiction...as I currently have not seen any credible information supporting your initial assertion and therefore have no opinion on this subject. This is just one more example of your irrationality and inability to differentiate between fact and fiction...which, judging from this forum, is apparently a relatively common problem with highly partisan hacks. Try being a little more objective...you may like it and just may become a better person for it.

Let's not pretend that even you* are too stupid to figure out where all that military money goes. Sure must be a lot of them good defense jobs in "those areas", you know what I'm talking about.

*and I mean the royal you in the buckshitter sense.

Might want to attend to that beam in your eye, brotha.

I'm just gonna put this out there.

GET READY FOR ANOTHER WAR. It's going to be Iran this time. How can it not be?

You have a secretary of state who was CEO of Exxon. Supposedly our oil reserves are dryin g up. Iran has what we need. Plus, they have weapons of mass destruction!

If I were Iran I would be very concerned.
