I fixed my Milwaukee chainsaw, but I'm not exactly sure how. The chainbrake quit working, and due to the way it's setup, it makes it especially dangerous to handle. It was under warranty, but I didn't feel like dealing with that. Anyway, I took the side cover off, and picked a bunch of packed sawdust out of the brake's spring assembly, and it's working now. I expected to find a switch under there, but I didn't see one. Maybe it was there, and I didn't recognize it :shrugs:
Glad to have fixed it, but they need to get their shit together if they want to position their saws as professional tools. Just the little bit I took apart, I saw a bunch of areas that could be improved. It isn't too bad I guess for the money, but I wouldn't want to reply on it as my only saw.
Also, I took the saw outside to work on it cause my saw tools are in the truck, and I was immediately rushed by mosquitoes. I went back in, sprayed myself with my new natural insect spray, and it seemed to work. I'm sure it doesn't last long, but it smells good. It also feels good spraying on a cool mist, so it wouldn't be a big deal freshening it up somewhat frequently.
