The owners have to vote to approve the new ownership. If the new owners are going to create a distraction-and cost them money, it won't happen.

That is fine if they want to do it. But dont do it under some faux moral highground. Their league is littered with felons that create controversy weekly.

Most of felons in the NFL don't have national radio shows with which to spew their ignorance to millions of listeners daily.

No they have national tv shows called football games where they are keenly observed by impressionable kids as role models.

I don't really give a shit if he buys an NFL team or not. Also, I don't think I'd care if the league blocked him or not.

That said, if he does wind up buying them, then I'll surely root against the Rams every game....

That said, I think this whole thing is just a stunt to get attention and cause controversy. That's pretty much is what Rush is good at.

your probably a bears fan anyway.

One positive outcome in Rush getting the team is that he could do all the scouting in the Dominican Republic himself.

That makes a lot of sense, since there are so many Dominican football players.
Whoosh!!!

I love me some Rush. ;)

If you don't have an answer, go for the "fixed."

I think its pretty obvious this group looking to buy the Rams was heavily influenced by the storm created by Rev Sharpton and Jessie Jackson. Wether the allegations are true or not doesnt even matter sadly. Just the mear hint of racism is enough to disqualify a man that obviously knows and loves football. Any football organization would want to avoid any contreversy, regardless of legitimacy.

I was suprised that so many players seems to come out agaisnt Rush and admitting all they knew about him was what they 'heard', meaning those quotes that have turned out to be false. It shows that some people are going to believe what they want to believe and dont want to question the first thing they hear.

I know there are plenty that dont like or even hate Rush, but why on Earth be so agaisnt a man buying a minority stake in an NFL team where he wouldnt even have direct control over the team? People have taken things way too far over something that really shouldnt be on anyone's radar. I mean really, none of this means anything. Either outcome wouldnt have effected any of you, and yet a firestorm is kicked up. A guy that has had a childhood dream of being a part of the NFL, obviously is knowledgable about football, has an oppurtunity of a lifetime and yet is blocked by those that disagree with him.

Thats just bizarre, but i guess thats the price you pay for being in the public eye and in politics. Politics is far too brutal, another reason why there are so few 'good' people in politics.

Now he can play the victim card. Blame all this on the "liberals". He and his followers will believe more than ever that everyone is against them. Rinse, repeat...

Limbaugh sucks and it's none of Sharptons or anyone elses business if he buys a sports team.

Sure it is. Rev. Al is calling Rush Limbaugh a bigot who doesn't deserve to be an owner.
For once I agree with Rev. Al.

Actions have consequences. If the NFL selects Rush as an owner, don't be suprised by a huge boycott of the NFL. The NFL doesn't like controversy, so I expect that they will reject Rush as an owner-too much baggage.

LOL.. Yeah.. Suuuure. The NFL lets murders, rapists, and dogfighters back in. But its OMG just so controversial to allow Rush to be an owner. Please.

As a liberal, I agree with your statement. The double standard here is just wrong. St. Louis needs a 'controversial' team owner, (and in this case, only a part team owner) to draw attention away from their piss poor season.
