I think its pretty obvious this group looking to buy the Rams was heavily influenced by the storm created by Rev Sharpton and Jessie Jackson. Wether the allegations are true or not doesnt even matter sadly. Just the mear hint of racism is enough to disqualify a man that obviously knows and loves football. Any football organization would want to avoid any contreversy, regardless of legitimacy.
I was suprised that so many players seems to come out agaisnt Rush and admitting all they knew about him was what they 'heard', meaning those quotes that have turned out to be false. It shows that some people are going to believe what they want to believe and dont want to question the first thing they hear.
I know there are plenty that dont like or even hate Rush, but why on Earth be so agaisnt a man buying a minority stake in an NFL team where he wouldnt even have direct control over the team? People have taken things way too far over something that really shouldnt be on anyone's radar. I mean really, none of this means anything. Either outcome wouldnt have effected any of you, and yet a firestorm is kicked up. A guy that has had a childhood dream of being a part of the NFL, obviously is knowledgable about football, has an oppurtunity of a lifetime and yet is blocked by those that disagree with him.
Thats just bizarre, but i guess thats the price you pay for being in the public eye and in politics. Politics is far too brutal, another reason why there are so few 'good' people in politics.
