I really don't buy the explanation that a protest that got out of hand is somehow better than a terrorist attack. In fact a protest that got out of hand appears to be worse in my eyes since it undermines any justification for what has transpired with Gaddafi in Libya and imo it would make it a total failure whereas if it were a terrorist attack than it was just bound to happen sooner or later anyway and any country in the Middle East is likely to harbor at least some terrorists.

Politically I just don't see the value in any kind of cover up and its not like the truth about the attack being a terrorist attack coming out didn't come out well before the election anyway.

The right kinds of questions would be why security was so lax there to begin with.

This is just Fast and Furious all over again where the right was more concerned about what Eric Holder did after everything blew up and even after he already admitted they goofed rather than looking into the operational details as opposed why everything went wrong in the first place.

Hyperbole much?

Nixon. REally now.

This just shows how silly this pointless obsession with this non-scandal is. We can add it to the other Obama non-scandals, like Solyndra, Fast and Furious, Secret Kenyan Muslim(tm).

Oh I don't know. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/10/jason-chaffetz-embassy_n_1954912.html

This scandle as you call it will slowly go away now . The deal has already been made . Blackmail is ugly but it works. There is so much more going on here than just a terrorist attack . What was CIA doing . suppling stinger missles to who ? Enemies of the US? So the very terrorist that are getting these weapons attacks the supplier. Why on earth would they do that? TO kill the witness and destroy the proof. 4 people died one ambassador 2 x seals and another man . Was he CIA? Why were no CIA people killed it was there operation . Why 2 x-seals killed who was guarding the ambassador . What was the ambassadors real mission . Ya they are going to bury this . But not without the proof of treason first . Than the repulsive will back off and own the oval office. Lets see what happens with fiscal cliff. and the Tax rise for the rich .

Republicans believe it is very important that we understand the correct reasons when Muslims attack us. Except when it has to do with our support for Israel or our past support for dictators in the Muslim world.

Lol, it figures, when nemesis posts you know the discussion is over.

I just wanted to add that they found out who made the changes to the talking points and why:
http://security.blogs.cnn.com/2012/...ghazi-talking-points-made-by-intel-community/

Conspiracy plot not found.

Oops!
I think it's fairly likely that the CIA is trying to protect something whether it be a secret operation of theirs or information sources and that's why there are a lot of publicly unanswered questions. Of course, Republicans already decided it's Obama's fault so they are beyond grasping for straws here.

Seems like a logical assessment of the situation.

What I don't like about all of this is the Repub's penchant to ignore possible national security issues that they stumble into and expose in their intense fervor to draw Obama blood at every chance they get, comparable to cornering a big dangerous unpredictable animal. Losing big in the past elections sure got their blood boiling too.

I just wish they'd realize that they have noone to blame but themselves by going further and further to the right. These last couple of years has been exceptionally alarming in this regard.

No, we want our leaders not to blame it on something else hoping it won't reveal that Al-Qaeda is not running and hiding like was just said in a campaign speech. If demanding the truth and make people be held accountable for their actions gets called a wichhunt, so be it.

That's almost as funny as saying Newt Gingrich would have done better than Mitt Romney in the election.

Ok what are the chances of apology to Rice?

Here are their chances.

This Week With George Stephanopoulos Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)

Fox News Sunday Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.)

We could use a couple apologies from the right dudes here as well. Anyone?

Did smokin' Joe McCarthy apologize?

It's clear that Repubs didn't give a damn about dead Americans- all they cared about was a chance to break Obama's balls, rally their haters, which is the real story behind all of their incidents of feigned outrage.

This look says it all-

And democrats care about dead Americans:confused:, they didn't care about the 16 year old son of Al-awlaki and himself who was killed

Indeed. Those deaths were, "The gift that keeps on giving" in their hate-filled, party-first ideology. It's all good as long as they can use it to attack other Americans, the ones with '(D)' after their names.

Both doubled down asking for further explanations.

As well every poster here from the right decided it was not worth their time.

Sad day for moderates.

You bring up McCarthy then whine, cry and finger point at DUHVERT? Fuck you.

Americans died and Obama lied and is still lying.

Uhh-waah! I'd call a wahmbulance, but they're all busy from the election.

I brought up McCarthy simply to show Repubs' intellectual heritage, such as it is. Did the Bushistas apologize for invading Iraq on false pretenses? To the families of the 4400 service people who died for that? For outing Valerie Plame? Did Repubs apologize to Terry Schiavo's husband when it turned out she really wasn't in that body? Have they apologized to anybody over the massive innuendo & character assassination employed By Issa in his "investigation" of F& F? Have they apologized to the millions of Americans they tried to disenfranchise with their "voter fraud" witch hunt? To the whole country for their role in enabling & cheerleading the greatest financial fraud in history, the "Ownership Society"?

Of course not, because they can convince themselves that they're right, no matter what. It's all truthiness all the time- it's true because they believe it's true, something your comments make obvious.

Yeh, it's obvious you're mad- you really should be mad at yourself for being so desperate to believe such tripe.

Where were you fucking ass clowns when Bush lied through his teeth about Iraq and weapons of mass destruction? How many American soldiers have died there? 6000+ and counting. Your a bunch of chicken hawk mouth breathers who have no problems when your Republican leaders fuck up in big ways, but hem and haw as soon as a Democratic president, especially a BLACK Democrat, is even perceived to have fucked up. It IS racism. Racism isn't out right saying ******, another way to define it is as simple as this quote from Ta-Nehisi Coates:

Racism is not merely a simplistic hatred. It is, more often, broad sympathy toward some and broader skepticism toward others.
.

AKA, racists are more skeptical of Obama than they would be of Bush because it IS about race.

If Republicans are persecuting Obama because he's black, how do you explain Clinton? Bill, not Hillary.
