I really don't buy the explanation that a protest that got out of hand is somehow better than a terrorist attack. In fact a protest that got out of hand appears to be worse in my eyes since it undermines any justification for what has transpired with Gaddafi in Libya and imo it would make it a total failure whereas if it were a terrorist attack than it was just bound to happen sooner or later anyway and any country in the Middle East is likely to harbor at least some terrorists.
Politically I just don't see the value in any kind of cover up and its not like the truth about the attack being a terrorist attack coming out didn't come out well before the election anyway.
The right kinds of questions would be why security was so lax there to begin with.
This is just Fast and Furious all over again where the right was more concerned about what Eric Holder did after everything blew up and even after he already admitted they goofed rather than looking into the operational details as opposed why everything went wrong in the first place.
