I'm a little shocked this was released at all, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter, the damage is done. The trust in our election system is gone for ~30% of the American people.

The silver lining here is those people stop voting and we get a more liberal single party governance for a stretch (it won't last as reactionaries come back to the polls) that allows us to actually get some stuff done and catch up for a bit.

Wonder how since they’re only “auditing” counties Biden won, none that Trump won…if my reading is correct.
For the most part, you are correct. 3 out of the 4 counties, Biden won. I suspect the only reason the Trump county was included, was to try and cover up their real intentions and fool the weak minded. I also would not be surprised if the audit in that county is just a "look over" compared to the deep inspection that will take place in the 3 Biden counties. It's all just smoke and mirrors so they can get their hands on democrat voting data.

It came out because a judge told them they had to release it. Otherwise it would have remained buried.

Sorry, but I have to keep harping on Fox News here. The hypocrisy is mind numbing. So today they report that MSNBC, because of its "liberal bias," went a whole 24 hours of not covering a comparatively minor allegation of sexual misconduct against CNN's Chris Cuomo. Cuomo evidently squeezed his producer's ass 16 years ago while hugging her, and apologized at the time. But MSNBC didn't report on it yesterday, or so they say.

In the meantime, NO WHERE on foxnews.com is there any coverage of the "audit" result, which is now in its final form (no longer a "draft.") In spite of repeatedly reporting on the progress of said "audit" and ripping democrats for "obstructing" it.

When is Rupert Murdoch just gonna die? Isn't he like 300 years old?

The problem is now the Republicans are trying to push another voting machine company's stuff, and the company has ties to the Republican party and I believe is known for pretty horribly shitty security and/or fuckups. So the Republican politicians will cite those 30% as rationale for why they have to fuckup the election system even more yet again while they try to perpetrate what they're accusing Democrats of.

Yep, I'm hoping that they've suppressed their own votes. They seem bent on saying that our electoral system is just rank with fraud, so what's the point. Meanwhile Dems need to show the fuck up.

So what's their spin on this? All over twitter they seem to be saying that the report uncovered significant fraud, but yet Biden got more votes? LOL what?

Simple ... When the most extreme hyperpartisan bunch of nitwits couldn’t find proof that Biden lost Arizona. The logical next step in Bizzaro world? Make a fraudit of Texas! Demand a recount of a state you already won!

Audit the Texas election, “discover” that Trump won it in a landslide, then spend the next four years crowing about “We told you he won the election!” Remember, they’re not trying to convince anyone using their brain for critical thinking. They’re trying to convince Republicans.

If that doesn't work - Just have chair of the Republican Party of Arizona calls for ANOTHER new recount.

I wouldn't worry about that.

What I would worry about is that the point of this audit was to delegitimize the democratic process so it's easier to throw out election results they don't like in the future.
No, the point of these audits is so the GOP can get their hands on the private voter data so they take action against anyone who didn't vote GOP.

It doesn't work that way. It can't.

But it does and it can. You don't really believe that a hyperpartisan org like Cyber Ninjas can be trusted to protect voter privacy, do you? And per the article Wolfe provided in post #300, the PA GOP is specifically requesting private and personally-identifying data for their "audit."
They're not expecting to overturn the election here. That's a ruse (and an effective grift). The purpose of these "audits" is for the GOP to illegally harvest private voter data. Particularly in swing states.
There needs to be a federal investigation now.

So now Gosar wants a "snap election" before the end of the year. We can laugh it off all we want, but the rhetoric and sheer lunacy continues to get amped up x 10. So what happens when they don't get their snap election before the end of the year or the MyPillow guy's predictions end up false? They are priming their followers for something bad, won't take much at this point to incite some sort of mass casualty event, or worse.

Honestly all that's left at this point is the "call to arms" tweet/statement/whatever.

What has Donald Trump actually ever done for any of THEM? Those people who would lie, cheat and kill for Donald Trump?
I know this is a cult, but really?
So what if they got Donald Trump back into the presidency or if Trump was now the president, would their lives be any the better for it? Why would they have Trump's back when Trump never returns the favor?
If they think really really hard about this they would realize that Donald Trump simply isn't worth it. He never was....

This is the republicans Hamburger Hill. Hamburger Hill was a battle for a hill back in the Vietnam era. Many soldiers were lost fighting for that hill and when the Americans took that hill at great cost in American life, it was all for nothing. The Vietcong had vanished, and all that Americans died for was a mound of dirt.
Same theory goes for Donald Trump. People will sell their souls, sell their morals, sell their patriotism to defend Donald Trump and in the end what do they get???? Donald Trump.

For the original deplorables I think it’s just a fuck you to everyone doing better than them in their lives. Happy? Fuck you. Have more money? Fuck you. Say I gotta wear a goddamned shirt in target? Fuck you too.

Lots of his current supporters are just not bright people and have been scared into thinking the country is weeks away from the communist antifa gay frog revolution from reaching their town and that only Trump and the like can save them. Then, you’ve got the FYGM crowd hoping they’ve got the tiger by the tail.

One should always be nervous when a group politically opposed to you is legally gathering personally identifiable information on you.

Never ceases to amaze how many "strict constitutionalist" Republicans either want to make radical changes to that sacred document or have just flat out never read it.

I disagree that violating the privacy of the ballot under false pretenses and for partisan purposes is legal.

Yeah but legally is the worst version, as a citizen can't realistically stop it. If it's illegal it can at least get revealed to the press.

I suppose it is not the same in all states, but in Florida, voter information is public information.

"Once filed, with few exceptions, all voter registration information is public record including your name, address, date of birth, party affiliation, phone number, and email address."

It still doesn't tell them who you actually voted for. That's the main concern here. Knowing which independents went from trump to Biden, for example, very valuable data. It's all shady.
