Red Dawn and Tripleshot - I don't think that fascist is a strong enough term on this BBS. Racist seems to be the right term to whip everyone up into a frenzy and get a member banned. You can also claim that they're trolls that backed out on a deal. You should be able to get a bunch of people in from the FS/FT forum invoved that way as well.

If the protests yesterday were so violent and at a near riot pitch, then how many protesters were arrested? Where are the burning cars, the smashed and broken public property? Funny how all the people "punched" and struck were hit in the stomach where it is really hard to see signs of injury? You would think that the media would have trotted out a few people with their faces all bruised up. You would think that assault and battery charges would have been filed. With the number of TV cameras around, I would have thought the news yesterday would have been filled with scene of the "riot" with closeups and replays of the violence.

Maybe both sides are buying into the party line here. Red, you keep saying people should think. Are you thinking?

The Democratic "leadership" has become as dependant on political power as a Man that needs air to breath.

It is High time we had a President that has another source for his Life, President George W. Bush.

The innocent will benefit from a government whose soul purpose is to do as the Constitution directs.

This renewed government is not in place to give life to the emaciated spirit ....of an Outlaw.

If you could see past the end of your nose, you'd be aware that your beloved fellow Democrats are just as myopic and partisan as the Republicans you so passionately hate

My beloved are libertarians, not democrats. You just made a false assumption.

All political affiliations are myopic and partison and I certainly do not have any passion hatewise or otherwise for republicans. Many in my family are republican. You confused my party affiliation with my telling you I supported Gore over Bush. That support comes from issues, not party affiliations.

When the libertarians can field a valid, viable candidate, the 51% of the population that didn't vote will mass with the drop outs from both the republican party base and the democratic party base, and We may get back to the principles of government that was originated when the bill of rights and constitutution where pinned.

My take on this ever happening was McCain/Feingold bill on campaign finance reform, that may have allowed third parties a fighting chance. Bush did not support the bill,Gore did. End of story!;)

Did you know that Gore (obviously not directly, but his campaign) had people calling known Gore supporters in Florida the night of the lelcetion tell them that they voted wrong? Who is "inciting" now?

BTW, I don't support mobs and riots (but when bunch of black people in LA do it it is okay and becomes an affirmative defense in criminal courts). How long did you want them to wait before they acted? Until the ballots had been corrupted? No, they took the action when it was needed. Whether or not it was the RIGHT action is debatable.

Oh, and saving us from ourselves? That is a liberal job :p

Chris, sits down for a moment. Blinking and rubbing his eyes, he reads again what he just read.

I hope you know you've just shattered my world Tripleshot. I've built my entire life out of the assumption that you were a rabid supporter of those you so vigorously defended. I suppose next we'll find out that Russ is secretly one of Gore's top advisors. :p ;)

Now who am I going to flame? :( Maybe I'm Typing is still around. Or perhaps we could let DirkButtlick back. They'd give me something to do.

Oh ride, you equate the republican party with a much of overzealous (sp?) people who got carried away. I know you are smart enuf to tell when the media is sensationalizing (sp?) the events that happened. To what lengths will the Gore Campaign go (through DIRECT action). DOnt give me that crap about bussin peopel in... Should I name the protests that have bussed people in from across the US to demonstrate? I can guarentee they wre not Republican rallies...

Futuramatic,

I don't have problems with folks taking buses. Or peaceful demonstrations. For either side.

But punching and kicking individuals, pounding on doors, screaming threats while ballots are trying to be counted for the election of the President of the United States is going too far in my mind. I would hope that most reasonable people would agree.

I don't know for sure, but my adversarial relationship with Russ has only been his vocal support of Shrub. For all I know ,we may be both libertarians. Although,he lives in that pristene environment up there in the Pacific Northwest. He may be a tree hugger;)

I am for less government, overhaul the tax code, stop wasteing money on the war on drugs and personal responsibility. Here is the caveat. I do not want that accomplished at the expense of those who cannot prepare for it or afford it. It is a gradual shift. Everyone wants instant results. That is not realistic,so I advocate one step at a time. By the way,had Mc Cain been choosen to run,HE would have had my vote, not Al Gore.

ride525 - Was counting going on or was it when they had stopped counting to move to a different room? Seems like it is a public building and they can protest as they want. And lets say "alleged" violence. Again, this was done in front of the police. Where are the arrests?

I don't actually know for sure whether counting was going on. But whether they were disrupting the count or the counters moving is still disruptive.

I don't know where kicking and hitting and pounding on doors would be allowed whether it is a public building or not.

It's surprising there were no arrests. Perhaps the police felt restraint was best for the moment.

They're trying to get the votes counted. Hopefully they will be counted, in spite of these tactics.

Anyone else notice that as the certification deadline inches ever closer, and as the number of bogus votes found for Goreby seems increasingly unlikely to allow him to hijack the election, the liberals are becoming ever more agitated?

Something else I noticed about this thread: Half the posts are from Red Dawn, and yet all of his writing combined doesn't contain enough logic and fact to fill a shot glass.

BTW, Broward County is now magically up to a net gain of 497 for Albert Jr.

Hmmmm.....it is very interesting thing that most of the "hand recounts" are going for Gore.

Remember what Stalin said..."give me control of the counters, I don't need the voters"...:)

well they still have 24 hours Russ they should be able to fraudulently count enough dimpled chads to put Bore over the top in time for the certification tomorrow. If they don't mayor Daley will roll over in his grave.

Think....and use a little reason......These are Democratic counties....Thousands of ballots that had problems, or couldn't be machine read. It doesn't take rocket science to figure out these would likely go for Gore.

Once again, Red presents a series of words that say nothing. Clue: Merely stringing words together at random does not automatically form a sentence.

No one ever said Stalin or the Democrats had the intellect of a rocket scientist, but the devious mind of a thief, that knows "where" to "recount"...:)

Red,

Your theory is unprovable unless, and until you actually present something resembling "truth".

Am I the only one on this board with a family? Why don't you guys quit saying the same things over and over again and spend some time with your loved ones?

Meanwhile let the police in Broward and Palm Beach County bring out the fire hoses, dogs, and batons and give the Republicans a taste of Selma and Birmingham.

No problem. I am fully aware that in the heat of our passions on the subject of politics,we (me especially) are given to say things we regret from time to time. I am facing ostracism for a poorly worded and ill conceived e mail.

I will go back and edit my post.

Have a good day.;)

chess9 - my daughter's sitting right next to me playing "Elmo's World" on her computer.

Glad to see that you're in favour of unleasing the police on a lawful demonstation. Guess you felt the same during the Civil Rights era. You must have switched over once it became fashionable, but your true feelings are coming out again.

I agree. That stuff was totally uncalled for (why do I feel like I said this a few posts up) and they should have been arrested. However:

What would you have done? How would you have gotten those people out of the back room where they were breaking the law? Call the police? Ha. It was a time sensitive issue, and to those people, bum-rushing the court house was the only means of getting the count back in the open in an expediant (sp?) manner.

There is nothing more scrutinizing than hundreds of voters watching you while you work. It is also harder to corrupt the ballots that way too.
