Republican Riot Squad

Excerpts:

<< THE MOST SIGNIFICANT OUTRAGE occurred Wednesday, when ABC News correspondent Bill Redeker discovered that Republican operatives, working out of a Florida-based mobile home, had sent in busloads of hooligans to shut down by force the court-ordered Miami-Dade recount at the Stephen P. Clark Government Center. Republican operatives also set up telephone banks to urge their footsoldiers to join in the riot. Miami?s most important Spanish-language radio station, Radio Mambi, issued a summons to all pro-Republican Cuban-Americans to come stir the pot further, with charges of anti-Latino racism against the canvassing board. >>

<< ?The Republicans marched on the counting room en masse, chanting ?Three Blind Mice,? and ?Fraud, Fraud, Fraud? ? let it be known that 1,000 local Cuban-American Republicans ? [a group to whom violence as an instrument of political intimidation is not exactly unknown]? were on the way.? >>

<< They can win, they have decided, because they alone are willing to do what?s necessary: This includes mob intimidation, public attacks on the judiciary, and, if it comes to this, a willingness to discard the people?s vote should it eventually be counted in their opponent?s favor. >>

Pay particular attention to the pic of the deputy restraining the "riot". PUUUUUUUUUULLLLLEEEEEZ !!!

I saw the protesters on the news - maybe 40 or 50 people were in a hallway. Later, I saw a Democratic lawyer crying foul because he felt these protesters were such a distraction towards those counting the ballots. Are all Democrats a bunch of cry-babies? Puhleaze.

The Pro-Republicans on this board are truly some of the most ignorant people I have ever seen as far as seeing facts for what they are. Yea,Al Gore made that crap up. RIGHT! I think you guys have it backwards, the Republicans are the ones willing to do whatever it takes to win, including cheating. Get a clue.

I just love to hear the babble of the Algoronites.

Favorite tactic #2 : When caught lying & cheating, yell loudly, run around in circles & accuse everyone else of lying & cheating.

((((((Claps Loudly)))))) Very good cxim, but you forgot,up until this election I never affiliated myself with any party. I usually vote Independent. I voted for Gore because he is the better candidate and I call it as I see it. And as I see it,GW is doing everything possible to make sure all the votes are not counted. Everyone knows, including Buchanon, that Gore truly won,but could possibly lose due to a technicallity. If Gore had no leg to stand on he would not have taken it this far,the American people would not have let him unless they thought something unjust had occured and needed to be righted. So,if you Republicans would just step aside, and either allow a statewide revote, statewide recount or something in the middle,we just might find out who the people really want. But of course Bush knows he lost and would lose again if anything accurate and fair was to transpire,so he is saying "quit while i'm still ahead. This is not fair,Daddy and Jebby said I could run the country. WAHWAHWAHHHHHHH

Well it doesn't seem to me that Gore reallywon this election. After every single recount Bush has managed to maintain the lead. I don't really think anybody is cheating either. But what I do think Gore is dragging this out for no reason at all. By the time either one of these people get in there isn't anybody gonna like it anyways. So the way I see quit the whining. Why do you people feel the need to keep accusing people of cheating. For the love of god just figure out who the president is going to be and let us know and get the bs over with.

Let's see, Jesse Jackson flies in and gets some demonstations going. A PR firm calls all over Palm Beach County and whips up public furour over the "confusing" ballot to influence the canvassing board into voting for a recount. Those are all lawful demonstrations where the will of the people is being expressed. The Republicans organize a demonstration that illustrates the outrage they feel, and they're thugs? Lieberman requests that the demonstrations end? Sounds like censoring speech he doens't like to me.

Michael

Such hypocrisy. As Michael pointed out, in the eyes of the liberal media it was acceptable for Jesse Jackson and the Democratic war machine to stir the pot and get people all riled up. But, when the Republican supporters excersize their rights under the Constitution they are considered to be a bunch of thugs.

Bush won twice!

Well TDennis, I have watched Algoron lie in the debates, Watched his lead atty lie to the FL supreme court about dimples.

Cheating ? The rules for manually counting machine ballots were well established here in FL. The goron minons have changed those rules to try & find votes for Algoron. That's cheating.

Then you have the little gorons like little apegoron comming up with new tired lies.

Michael... Naaah ! just normal everyday goronite propaganda

A riot led by Bob Dole, it was out of control I tell you. The world is coming to an end. What sad looking cry babies!

It was sure pandemonium!

The Republicans organize a bunch of out-of-staters to come in and disrupt the counting of ballots for the election of the President of the United States and you don't see anything wrong with this?

Protests are one thing. Storming a government building and disrupting vote counting is another.

I'm continuing to be amazed by some on this board.

And your point was???? G.W.B. has ALWAYS had the lead. Al Gore is the one who has failed to concede that he lost the election. If, through some silly reason Gore actually wins the Presidency, one would hope that he would put half the effort into this Presidential duties as he has applied regaining more votes in Florida.

<< G.W.B. has ALWAYS had the lead. >>

No one disputes that. Lets finish counting all the ballots we can. Without disruption or intimidation.

Damn, I love these gorons, now we have little ridegoron lying again.

The people there were locals. They were angry that the Board was trying to meet in secret, which is aginst state law. You miss a lot on the national news. we have about 6 local stations here with reporters in Miami & Palm Beach.

They interviewed several of the 'bussed in republicans', all locals pissed about the closed meeting, not the ballot counting at that point.

They wanted to know where the recount ballots were going to come from ? what voting districts ? This was when the Miami/Dade Board decided to quit...

ride525 - And Theresa Lepore was not intimidated by the Democrat-sponsored lawsuits against her for her ballot design? And the race fury that Jesse Jackson was trying to whip up was not intimidating to canvassing boards everywhere?

If the Miami-Dade canvassing board was reminded that there are strong feelings on both sides over this issue, then it is simply democracy and free in action. For all the cries of "thugs", I see little evidence that is was anything but a demonstration.

Michael

[/b]Butt Trumpet rocks! Why am I reminded of the band Butt Trumpet.............? Oh cxim spouting again. 😀

LOL!! looks like the republicans just took a page out of the democrats own playbook. sucks when the tables are turned don't it Algoristas.

I watched the so called riot on the tube, live (thank God for satellite dishes).

The whole brewhaha was caused by the canvassing board when they decided to try and sneak off and count only the undervotes in the county rather than all of the ballots required by state law. The Miami-Dade county attorney advised them that this was in violation of state statute. It was then that they unanimously voted to end the recount because they didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of finishing by Sunday at 5:00pm. Did the protesters in the hall have an effect? I hope so. What would be the hue and cry if a republican canvassing board had tried the same thing.

BTW, Bob Dole was outside on the street with other veterans protesting the disenfranchisement of our men and women in the armed forces.

SHUX - please note that Red Dawn's interjections are far more effective as he insults the parties (rarely the poster) and incites a response. He then attacks the poster and moves the thread away from discussion. An effective way of demonstating his point about both parties and their supporters.

Michael

<< but what is this fixation you have on BUTTS >>

Maybe because you have been talking out of yours for so long?

Demonstrations are fine. I don't have a problem with demonstrations.

Storming a govermnent building, pounding on doors, blocking hallways, and generally being disruptive to counters trying to count votes for the President of the United States is another.
