There is no way to disarm America short of instituting martial law and starting a civil war. A prohibition on civilian gun ownership would disarm law abiding citizens, not the criminals and crazies who are the problem. I'm tired of people shouting we need fewer guns in America when there is no practical way to accomplish this.

Guns are tools. In the hands of a good person they protect us. When misused by an evil or crazy person bad things happen. No gun ban will stop evil crazies from going on shooting sprees, they don't obey laws to begin with.

I grew up in Southern California and feel for those killed and wounded there today. Shootings like this will continue to happen so long as there is evil in the hearts of some men. In other words, it ain't never gonna stop.

Educate your children to be more compassionate and empathetic. Teach them that the rights afforded to Americans come with the responsibility to be a good individual and treat others with respect. Nothing else will save us as a culture.

And keep things in perspective: Gun homicides and violence are down sharply in past 20 years.

Please tell me why a gun that fires 20 bullets a second should be in the hands of everyday people, it would take only a few minutes to kill thousands.

Are you being sarcastic or are you an idiot? I can't tell from this post.

Because they're muslim and that's what they do (obtain hundreds of rounds and arms) when they are obeying orders from a caliphate to wage jihad against the U.S. and Russia. Time to change the Koran, folks. The kid's dad said he was devout and religious, the dots will be connected in the next 24 hours. How do you defend against an ideology that commands its followers to kill? Change/alter the ideology to be more peaceful.

Oh and lol@people arguing about guns. This would have happened regardless of the "law". Let's start discussing the real root cause.

If you are speaking about the evil in the hearts of some men, then I agree with you. Disarming the people trying to play nice does nothing to stop those who won't.

Some other new info coming out about the 2nd shooter:
Jack Sarfatti ‏@JackSarfatti 2m2 minutes ago San Francisco, CA
Tayyeep Bin Ardogan - Qatar citizen, second shooter killed by police in SUV with Syed Farook - explosives found, not a spontaneous rage event

ɪ'ᴍ yᴏᴜʀ ʜᴜᴄᴋʟᴇʙᴇʀʀy ‏@BringTheFlag 12m12 minutes ago

Tayyeep Bin Ardogan. is a citizen of Qatar. Isn't that where clock boy went?

Rusty Shackelford ‏@rshackelford14 3h3 hours ago

"Farooq Saeed" and "Tayyeep Bin Ardogan"... Probably a white biker gang.

Hair ‏@SHannitysHair 4h4 hours ago

Farooq Saeed and Tayyeep Bin Ardogan sound like a couple of white-privileged, Christian extremists.

John Burtis ‏@jburtis 4h4 hours ago

Info increasing re: Farooq Saeed and Tayyeep Bin Ardogan to be two of the San Berdoo shooters; media: from guns to not all Muslims are bad.

I don't pay attention to Twitter posts personally. I just use the site for the AP, Reuters and FoxNews feed. Also tweet some posts from my blog and bug some congressmen. LOL

You know what's funny? In San Francisco, air rifles are banned as well... And, the Mission, before being gentrified was like Syria; the Nortenos and Surrenos were popping each others like it was going out of style. Hmm... maybe we should gentrify the Middle East, send them our yuppies and hipsters.

Now there's an idea! Move Facebook to Syria - instant yuppified. Zuckerberg, make it happen!

Heh, if it were only that easy. Didn't the riffraff in the Mission area get priced out by the tech boom?

But ya, I'm all for deporting our hipsters out of the country. Keep the yuppies, someone has to pay for the welfare for the half that doesn't work.

Really? Three people in body armor targeted a collection of leaders of an organization at a meeting. What do you call that? I mean, it doesn't take 2 brain cells to know that this is targeted and planned. Unless, you're one of those internet idiot that reacts on knee jerk emotions.

Methinks your idiocy extends beyond the digital realm.

You see, I'm one of the few moderates left in this country, and my solution is simple, makes sense, and satisfy both sides.

You want your guns? Sure, you can have your guns. You want control? Sure you can have control. It's simple.

Implement a certification program, where the would be owner will have to go through a gun safety and handling course, get certified, THEN you can buy your gun. Along with the certification, the potential owner will also have to be cleared of any psychological conditions that would make owning the gun inherently dangerous to others. The certifications are not transferable, just like when you go buy a car, the drivers license is not transferable. The next owner will need to get certified as well before he or she can legally take possession of the gun.

This will also create jobs that are related to this whole certification business, better for the economy. See? I should be President.

No need to do anything with guns, just apply that to journalism and voting and we would be golden in a few election cycles.

MSNBC is citing that the perps not only had assault weapons, but also "assault clothing." How long before libtards call for a ban on such murderous clothing?

They've been trying to outlaw civilian use of body armor for awhile now.

So, correct me if I am wrong here, but they found the terrorists with "Assault Rifles" (whatever that means here) along with other weapons. In CA, isn't the purchase of AR style firearms prohibited? And hasn't it been for a long time?

I'd like to know how that nutjob got his hands on these if it's so hard to do in that state.

Please tell me what this magical gun that fires 20 rounds a second, and can legally be bought, is called, so that I can go out and buy it?! It's Christmas time, boys and girls!

They are sold here with a bullet button to skirt the prohibition of detachable magazines.

What he said. Plenty of room on this fence for the few reasonable people that are still out there.

This is process already in place here in CT. It's definitely an improvement, but it doesn't weed out the mentally challenged people that aren't felons. It wouldn't have stopped this fellow, that's for sure.

Nothing we can ever do will change the fact that an angry or depressed person can get a gun if they try hard enough. No laws or control can ever fix that.

My favorite idiotic rationalization is that other countries don't have mass shootings because they're islands.

AMERICA is the source of most other countries' illegal guns, dumbfucks.
Fast and furious, ftw, right.....
