Make all the direct statements you want. Unless you have some way to prove that they are factual, in the current R520 climate most of us are not going to take it as more than conjecture. I've looked through your past posts and I don't see any indication whatsoever that you've ever had any inside info about R520.

Let's look at what you said:

Points of note:
The R520 will not have unified shaders.
~80% of the information you've seen on the net is correct about R520 (based on the information I have, the core is correct, but the memory is not).
The piping architecture is slightly different than previous versions (I'm not talking about memory here).

The first is something that most of us already suspect to be the case. You claim to know this 100% already. Care to tell us how you know this? Would you like to disclose any more detials about the architecture of the chip while you're at it?

The other two statements are just too vague to have much meaning. Really, if you want to impress us with your inside info, give us some specifics that we don't already know. Thanks.

Notice this poster mispells detail . Now I know that he knows how to spell that word no problem but he got caught up in his thoughts and made a mistake . Thats all it was.

I dont know where you got the idea that i never make mistakes. I am human just like everyone here (except perhaps the mods ) I make mistakes everyday too. However, Turtles mistakes are a lot more widespread.

You guys, Kevin especially, should be ashamed of the way you've been treating this Turtle guy. He seems reasonably fine, and as others have said, he has at least added to the thread someone. Sickbeast, if you read almost everypost i posted at the beginning, i contributed something very useful. However, it went downhill after a certain point, when tensions flared. I agree that i shouldn't have let it happen, being a long time forum member, but the fact is that it did.

He seems reasonably fine, and as others have said, he has at least added to the thread someone.

Because threatening me with a lawsuit, and saying that the moderators must do something about my early posts because i disagree with them are very mild mannered.

He has added something.... LOL its his thread!!! All he has done is simply post articles left and right.

He is correct in stating that Vista will have very steep graphics requirements if one wants to run it will all the settings turned on.

THAT IS WHAT I SAID THE ENTIRE TIME. However, Turtle is confused in thinking that without ditching your entire system for new parts you wont be able to run it at all, which is false!

No! The new version of DX due out in 13 months or longer will require more graphics power? Who'd have thought!

His problem is his incessant insistence that all the current cards are doomed and won't run it, when they obviously will, just not at full features. (sort of like the current ATI/DX9 situation)

His other problem is his incessant insistence nVidia is somehow doomed because of a patent ATI applied for in 2003! Yeah, they're just going to close shop on the next version of DX. :roll:

This coupled with the 16 pipeline, dual slot, Crossfire hobbled nature of the beast makes for bad times in Q4 for ATI. (not to mention the six pending lawsuits against their execs for dumping stocks after offering artificially optimistic financial reports)
